Yeah for basic features vowifi 5g etc. I guess I was wrong unlocking bootloader for qualcomm chipset is not an issue anymore on samsung current iteration. But root access and modding are still a necessity for me  sweat.gif

adguard, wireguard kernelspace and chromepie are three main reasons. The rest like tasker, google call recording and so forth are just icing on the cake. no issue with banking apps so far along with google pay.

Anyone having issues with notifications not appearing on lock screen if you've received the notification while the phone is active? They also disappear from lock screen if you've opened the notification drawer without dismissing them.

Anything above 192g, I am reluctant. My last P30 pro is this weight, tangan sakit. That's why I am interested in Xiaomi 14 but most people discourage me cause says after update sure a lot of bugs.
My Realme GT Neo 3 only 188g, just nice but lags and no 5G cause CN set.
My moto G82 best 173g saja but this is a problem model. Changed new set under warranty still problem.

I think can consider only S23 or S24 if don't like Xiaomi, otherwise maybe iPhone non-pro models

Since S24 is exynoshit, S23 is a good option. Pity about the charging speed. I am used to 150W. Or i buy S24 SD Hong Kong model. I remember someone selling here. Don't know can get update or not. Anyway I didn't say don't like Xiaomi. Just that many discouraged me taking it.

Haha... beats me. biggrin.gif Now I prefer my phone stock. Modding days are way way way wayyyyy over for me now. laugh.gif

I didn't even flash Oxygen OS myself this round. The seller ordered direct from China and the China seller flashed to Oxygen OS, pack all the free gifts together in a box before shipping the whole box to me directly from China.

Nowadays phone sellers also can drop ship from China. sweat.gif

Not sure abt the 12R, but since it shares some similarities with the 12, I can only give you my 2 week impression of the 12. Coming from a Pixel 7 Pro, I got much better battery life and signal strength. In my condo lift, the P7P would be dead but i could still send messages and browse the web in the 12. Charging is fast, i don't even need to use the supplied charger (using my old PD charger is sufficient). Cameras I would say I am very satisfied with the 12, it has a more natural look but overall maybe the pixel just edges it, but not by much. And I can finally change icons using the stock launcher heh.

I got my set from Fastech Lim in Subang. With 1 year warranty (though it is mentioned if there is a warranty claim, the phone needs to go back to China).

The 12R genshin edition looks unique wink.gif. The 12R, I believe it is known as the Ace 3 in China.

I think the majority here who owns the phone are OP12 owners. The 12R would be a good phone as well if you would prefer a smaller phone and not splurge about Rm3k for the 12. The 12R or Ace 3 in China is actually a steal now at Rm1900 ish. Pretty good deal if you would ask me. Genshin Impact edition is also available now but at Rm2.8k.

Thanks for the details
My main reason for changing is also due to poor signal on pixel 6a. Got damn tired of it.. even in train I saw others are using fine while mine are loading like shit... Really fedup. Ya op12r is rly tempting.. I am considering not going for the keqing edition though. lol

MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ on Xiaomi 13T Pro holds up against the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on OnePlus 12R. Both processors hold up to day-to-day tasks without overheating, wuth the OnePlus 12R being slightly cooler than Xiaomi 13T Pro in temperatures. Imo the bigger differences between OnePlus 12R and Xiaomi 13T Pro are below.

OnePlus 12R
16GB+256GB RM3199
Highlights: The 5500mAh long battery life, 6.78-inch curved 1.5K OLED screen from BOE (same quality as OnePlus 12), IMX890 main camera, OxygenOS, 3 years of Android OS updates + 4 years of security updates,

Xiaomi 13T Pro
12GB+512GB RM2699
16GB+1TB RM3499
Highlights: 6.67-inch flat 144Hz OLED screen, Leica triple camera setup (with proper main, wide and telephoto), HyperOS, 4 years of Android OS updates+5 years of security updates

Both don't have wireless charging and are only on USB 2.0.

Personally I lean towards towards Xiaomi 13T Pro for the flat screen, but very envious of the exceptional battery life on OnePlus 12R

thankss bro for the details..
it's a hard decision. I just hope mediatek don't hv any kind of signal/connectivity issue. Oneplus is really stinky with the OS and security support

MediaTek nowadays don't have unstable connectivity issues anymore, and are on par with Qualcomm with signal quality. As long as you don't buy CN set, and only buy Malaysia local set, you don't need to worry about connectivity issue.

Pixel 6a if switch to OnePlus or Xiaomi smartphones, you will feel stranger to the OS, but you can get used to it. For Xiaomi smartphones especially, you need to remove ads after smartphone setup. I linked a guide below:

https://www.gadgets360.com/how-to/features/...-how-to-2356679

Switching from the Pixel 6a to other Androids, you will notice improved signal connectivity, improved battery life and improved third party app performance 👍

You mean you got your OP12 but there is no charger in the package? hmm.gif

There is supposed to be a 100W SuperVocc charging brick in the box together with an original casing.

You still can use to old charger from the 8T without any issues though.
