global ver is the one that is sold in MY  whistling.gif
u mean the CN one? yes can be use but up to you to find a reputable seller since it might be locked and your choice to run CN color os or Oxygen OS. Warranty is back to the seller cool2.gif

Most of the seller inform that for Global Version - they take CN version and flashed with Global Rom even they advertise in Shopee as Global version.

No seller selling pure factory global version? (Only cn version which is flashed)?

If you are worried, then your only option would be to get the official my unit here.

IMO, there is only one version right now, be it global or chinese version.

Refer to my post below.

Based on information on the below websites, the global version of the Oneplus 12 should carry the model no CPH-2581.

https://oneplussg.com/product/oneplus-12-5g/ - Official Oneplus SG Site.

https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/compar...aseline=3288919

https://www.91mobiles.com/hub/oneplus-12-gl...-fast-charging/

https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/11/14/globa...-certification/

My own set, a Chinese set imported from China bears the same Model No CPH-2581.

IMO, the global version of the Oneplus 12 and Chinese version is basically the same phone. Most probably Oneplus came up with only one variant that caters to both International and the Chinese markets compared to previous iterations of Oneplus phones which have region specific model codes with different network bands.

Your one shows CPH2581 because you are flashed with global rom bro. If you flash back china rom will shows china model number. If you flash india rom it should show CPH2573

I somewhat agree since 1+ has that kind of region for rom distribution. In the server itself has the segregation

anyhow if u flash the region rom it should follow the region coding

as said, only for previous model like CN / US set might have some diff since they may have some diff in term of the radio freq but im not sure now though sweat.gif
like my 1+9 is US set but u can still use MY 5G .. just it is a bit thicker compare to other 1+9 variants ... headache to get the phone cover

Yes bro. But IINM, during previous iterations, if you flash your phone to Oxygen OS from previous Hydrogen OS, the model no would still remain. That is how they differentiate from the different models for specific regions. But somehow, with the OP 11 onwards, flashing to Oyxgen Os from Color os actually changes the model no as well. So it will be harder to tell which region it actually came from except by looking at the box.

Yes, with previous iterations of Oneplus phones the modem network bands have slight difference because different regions would have different 4G, 5G network bands. So they have different network bands on the phones for different regions. Having said that, it would be costlier to have different phones with different modems for different regions. Might as well as just have one model that caters for all. Different is the FW on whether the phone gets Oxygen OS or Color OS.

Your 1+9 US Set which is global set is a little bit thicker because its comes with wireless charging while the Chinese sets doesn't get this feature. So yours is s better set. nod.gif

MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ on Xiaomi 13T Pro holds up against the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on OnePlus 12R. Both processors hold up to day-to-day tasks without overheating, wuth the OnePlus 12R being slightly cooler than Xiaomi 13T Pro in temperatures. Imo the bigger differences between OnePlus 12R and Xiaomi 13T Pro are below.

OnePlus 12R
16GB+256GB RM3199
Highlights: The 5500mAh long battery life, 6.78-inch curved 1.5K OLED screen from BOE (same quality as OnePlus 12), IMX890 main camera, OxygenOS, 3 years of Android OS updates + 4 years of security updates,

Xiaomi 13T Pro
12GB+512GB RM2699
16GB+1TB RM3499
Highlights: 6.67-inch flat 144Hz OLED screen, Leica triple camera setup (with proper main, wide and telephoto), HyperOS, 4 years of Android OS updates+5 years of security updates

Both don't have wireless charging and are only on USB 2.0.

Personally I lean towards towards Xiaomi 13T Pro for the flat screen, but very envious of the exceptional battery life on OnePlus 12R

OnePlus under declare I think as a 8T user... I just got this because my 8T have green line on screen and a certain area cannot touch... It is running on Android 14 haha... So u can see 8T until now still have major updates... I have doubt on Xiaomi as I don't like their bloated firmware... And previous experience also not that good in updates...

You mean you got your OP12 but there is no charger in the package? hmm.gif

There is supposed to be a 100W SuperVocc charging brick in the box together with an original casing.
You still can use to old charger from the 8T without any issues though.
*
Yea mine is Malaysia set... Without charger as SenQ mention the package is without charger... New package open in front of me and thin box...

I have read in the Oneplus forums some sets are delivered without the charging brick but the charging brick will be delivered separately. Maybe you should ask your seller.

And it is not Oneplus' policy to not include the charging brick. This is not Samsung. Btw the Super VOOC charging brick in one of the highlights of the phone though the phone is capable of 100W charging.

Damn... What happened to OnePlus' policy to always include a charger in the box?

https://www.oneplus.com/us/oneplus-12

https://www.oneplus.com/us/charging#:~:text...0in%20the%20box.

Or was it a overlook since some owners reported getting the charger in another box later on?

No. The pre-order gift was the wireless AirVooc 50 charger. The VOOC charging brick was supposed to come in the box with the phone but apparently for the early adopters, it didn't. It came in a second box in a second shipment.

Yes. No "Ragrets" buying China set. Seriously. nod.gif

I read from Fastech's FB page the OP12 is selling really well.
