because crap low spec cpu and ram are weak
but tplink AX1800 is already powerful cpu and ram strong enough

alright. thank. try online gaming using skyworth combo box got ping around 25-30. my ping is 16 if using Tplink Ax1800.

seee ping high due crap router
use back Tplink Ax1800 get ping below 16ms very powerful
why crap router getting ping around 25-30+ms because that router unable handle because low spec
compare tplink spec both are different spec

please use back Tplink Ax1800 don't be trouble crap router

hi guys. i want to ask. if i want to change my sister router, i just have to change the user name and password for PPPoe right? mine 300mbps, my sister 100mbps one. or have other setting to change for skyworth GN630?

First to answer your question:
You also need the PLOAM password and phone PIN because you are replacing the ONU, not just the router.
You must get this from technician. There is no way to request it by calling 100 or livechat.

My question to you is why?
What ONU is your sister using now that you feel this Skyworth is a superior replacement?

Can you tell us what is your sister's setup now?

My suggestion would be reuse back your old setup, I belive you are able to use back your old ONU+router plug and play right?
For your sister, I suggest you buy her a new router to replace her old router
Leave this Skyworth combo in the box

If you really wanna setup this for her, you will need to grab the PLOAM password and phone PIN from her old ONU
Plus her PPPOE username and password
I dont know what your ONU is, but you can find Youtube guides on how to access the ONU

You can access the ONU to grab these credentials, just not as straightfoward as a router since ONU doesnt have DHCP (need to setup static ip on PC)
Other than that, pretty easy
Unless you are using the super old ones that requires Telnet

hi guys, my package is 300mbps but speed test with lan cable only 250 mbps. technician said is normal as it will never hit 300mbps.
is it true? it used to get 300-320 when doing speed test.

.. recd call a month ago, said will upgrade to 1gbps... no news after that.

.. recd call today... said upgrade to 1gbps.
.. then something like "3 months waiver", "4th month onwards, same old price as before", 24m contract.
.. "sim card rm39, bundle...?"
.. no written document on this campaign, no email, just talk on phone only...??


what is this new plan, what hidden conditions, why no written info on any website?

anyone who has gone thru this, please comment with some relevant details as i m not sure if i heard everything right.

Just walk in to a real TM point (not agent/authorized store) and ask about SWU plans. Their deal is usually better than their telemarketing team.

I just received similar call just now. The only thing is I'm already on 1Gbps. But I rejected the offer already.

I thought they called to offer free Upgrade to 2Gbps with sim card and 3 month waiver with 2 yrs contract, then only i will consider....haha

Make a complaint to MCMC about the free upgrade, then only they will act fast. I also made complaint to MCMC back in July then get free upgrade on Aug.

No it's not true, either the technician is just lazy to help you troubleshoot the root cause or he just stupid.
Did you update your router/modem recently?

Check if it's updated to latest firmware for both router and modem, then reset again.
Few years back I experienced that my speed keep stuck at 250-270 after update the firmware and technician say same thing like yours, then I try reset my router and modem and restart then it's back to 300.

so, u must take this in the package at rm39 pm?

if so, i duwan the upgrade, i don't need another mobile line.

Yes, but the gal said can cancel anytime, no contract.

But I'm not interest with their offer, so I didnt take it.
