currently with unifi advance plus 500Mbps <Turbo Upgrade 2018> (RM229.00-RM80.00=RM149.00+RM30<aneka pack>) and currently no contract for many years... BTW thank you for advice

I’ve just gotten an upgrade from unifi for 1GB from previous 800mbps.

I was previously using AX56U asus router with wireless mesh and Unifi previous modem .

After the technician came,

They gave a Dlink router and modem 2in1. Here is the problem,

Unifi Dlink - WiFi - 900-1Gb speed but lan cable only 200-300 ish speed


With current asus router - WiFi - 200-300 ish speed same with lan cable.

I’m using a cat6 btw.

Anyone solution? Thanks

I’ve contacted them early this year. They said infrastructure not able to handle. July they called me if want to renew contract to 2GB. I said give me my free 1GB without renewal than I’ll consider. Within a week they came.

That worked for me. After waiting from Jan to July, seems they just needed a little live chat prodding which was done 7/7. Got upgraded on 31/7.

What price they offer you when they ask u to renew to 2GB?

Actually I wanna swap the line between my house and my father house, the current 800Mbps which under my account is install at my father house. Currently using 300Mbps under my wife name.

I thought waiting them upgrade when only apply for transfer location. Think I may need go TM to do transfer at the same time complaint about free upgrading.

No additional price. Just renew contract, but I dont plan to stay more than 1 more year. So I might not consider.

Do you still get speed drop if you use the 1G port instead of 2.5G port?

Better do one thing at a time. Later TM gets confused. Maybe do the upgrade first then only the transfer.

My free upgrade until today ding dong didn't receive. Planned to port out to maxis with better offer.

I wonder what anyone in TM, JKOM or whoever with access to this system will do when it go live.
Do they spy on their secret lover? Political enemy? Sell their spying service?

There is a reason why leader in countries with this kind of capability tend to stay in power for a long time. They eliminated their threats well in advanced.

From a technical perspective, unless you are super savvy, these kind of attack can be hard to detect, much less prevent.

Change abit of the setting and now it is all good.

Wifi (iPhone 14 pro max) - around 300-400 mbps.

the technician ROG mobile can reach 1GB during test. But seems iPhone 14 have max reach around 400mbps only.

I think you better call them. and ask for it. Because you opt out you will still be paying for a higher price with contract.

TL;DR: unifi Technician GPON ONU New Replacement Power Adapter was Different Model and Same Voltage with Different Lower Amperage

Yesterday after Power Outage and Back On, unifi FiberHome GPON ONU AN5506-04-BG 12V = 1.5A AN5506-04-B5G(E1) since 2017 December couldnt power back on at all, every other electrical appliance was still working well, try to contact TM via few method, 100 was the fastest to respond and record the detail, unifi easyfix could only report issue without record the detail, on-site appointment schedule was next day before 24 hour, unifi Technician arrive at schedule time, they didnt get the report detail, explain to them again, they just get a New Replacement Power Adapter from their vehicle and the unifi FiberHome GPON ONU work again without any issue including full correct speedtest with correct ping latency, however their New Replacement Power Adapter was Different Model and Same Voltage with Different Lower Amperage, is there any issues in the long run? thx in adv.
