I'm also gotten this response from TM yesterday but surprise today morning got call from TM that I'm getting free upgrade to 1Gbps and enquire about appointment and need change equipment ONR But haven't got date yet...

I'm in the same boat. When they called me on Tuesday, April 23rd, I tried to schedule an appointment for this weekend, but the agent couldn't confirm availability.
I followed up with another call to the helpline 100 this morning to confirm the appointment, but they're still unable to secure one as no contractor has picked up the job yet. It's looking unlikely for this weekend, but keeping my fingers crossed!

Use https://dnscheck.tools or https://browserleaks.com/ip to check your DNS resolvers.

Quad9 is free afaik. NextDNS has both free and paid plans. Their free plan offers all the same features as the pro plan but is limited to 300,000 queries a month. If you exceed that limit, your queries will still be routed through NextDNS servers but without any filtering. If you intend to stick to the free plan, make sure to tick the “cache boost, option in the settings tab. Also, wrt NextDNS or Quad9, always set them up manually in your OS settings (using DoT or DoH). Instead of downloading their apps. My order got cancelled out of the blue. No explanation, no calls, no texts, no emails—nothing at all.

Logged complained to MCMC regarding the 800Mbps upgrade.
Today received call from TM for installation appointment.
Asked the lady why they only started taking action after user logged a complaint to MCMC.
She said there's quite a lot of 800Mbps users hence they are prioritizing those who's bill is above RM200/month for the upgrade then only look into those below 200 bill

That seems a bit unfair. Just because our bills are under RM200 doesn't mean we shouldn't get the same upgrade attention. We're all paying customers, after all.

Is there any disadvantages of using splitter beside lowering down optical power? My splitter kaput and TM replaced it at that green box.

It's all happened before Oct 2023. Now the offer is gone already. The current offer is SWU 4.0. Slightly more expensive. No more free upgrade and no more 6 months free.

owh...no chance getting the deal on maya and 100 they only can offer upgrade to 500mbps at same price no free 6 months, said have to walk in to tmpoint for better deal.

Yea, existing modem should support 1gbps, no need change equipment. Just speedtest and see waht you are getting.

If still 800mbps, call 100 and request to talk to the bahagian pemasangan. They are the one who schedule technican for onsite visit. I only got my upgrade after opening a case with 100 and kept pushing them to escalate to Manager. At first they told me no date for my upgrade have to wait, then telling me infra at my taman not yet ready, then lastly making appointment with me for the upgrade. All these took about 2 weeks plus. My bill is 200.35, so i guess i am not in their priority list!!
