My grandma has RM253(!) of credit in her Celcom Xpax line.
If I topup RM5 can i buy a data pack with or do I need top up RM30 for a 30 day validity because the data pack also has 30 day validity?

Are there no uncapped (speeds) plans from Celcomdigi anymore? Been browsing their site and all plans, postpaid and prepaid, have some kind of speed cap.

So there might be circumstances where 4G is faster than 5G depending on your plan? 🤣

I decided to port out my Yes number to Digi prepaid.
I already received the "switch to Digi is being initiated" text but I haven't received the confirmation text from Yes. How long does it take? The store says about an hour but I googled it may take 48 hours? This post has been edited by Epic_winner091: Oct 21 2024, 04:33 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

Overall first impressions? Night and day difference from Yes.
Their 4G actually works (duh). There is a speed cap when using 5G (100 Mbps) but it's not noticeable unless you do speedtests all day. Aik apparently not? This post has been edited by Epic_winner091: Oct 23 2024, 09:57 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

I'm getting full bars of 4G in my office on Digi unlike Maxid. I'm guessing they have a DAS but only for Celcom and Digi?

Interesting. Right now Digi appears to be more stable in my office (@ Cyberjaya) than Maxis.

Compared eNBs and Cellmapper. In Cyberjaya, still generally connecting to Digi towers.
In Shah Alam however, my grandma's Celcom number is using the same tower as my Digi line. |

QUOTE(azrash @ Oct 29 2024, 06:48 PM) Use Cellmapper and/or NetMonster on Android.Celcom eNBs usually start with "1", for example. DiGi eNBs have a different convention. At home, my phone is using a Celcom tower. Because the tower has a "1xxxx" eNB. This post has been edited by Epic_winner091: Oct 30 2024, 07:44 AM azrash liked this post

I think they also have merged their spectum so you'll see intracarrier aggregation. Like Celcom's Band 3 + Digi's Band 3.

I notice its also 20 MHz instead of 15 prior. I wonder if that spectrum will get reassigned?

My brother has a 10 year old Digi sim that still says "DiGi". Wonder if it'll also change for him.

Notice it only shows the new network name if I'm on mobile data.
Still shows Digi if on WiFi calling. EDIT Nenek's old Celcom SIM shows "MY CelcomDigi" after I switch from 2G/3G/LTE to 2G only and back to 2G/3G/LTE. This post has been edited by Epic_winner091: Nov 28 2024, 01:58 PM |

When I put the SIM into my old S8+ it ony shows "My CelcomDigi" instead of MY CelcomDigi | Digi" like on my S24.
Could there be a character limit on the older device lol. |
