so gx bank debit is better than queue up for money exchange?

I plan to change SGD 200 only cash. coz later got balance coins cannot convert back. troublesome.

normally before I leave sg I'll go money changer and change my sg coins back to paper notes

If you have too much cash on hand, you will try to spend it before leaving the country, eg blind shopping at airport, buy drink at vending machine etc.

You can keep those notes for future use, not necessarily must spend till finish or change it back to MYR cash.
Unless you plan not to step in to Singapore anymore, then different story.

Anyone facing this problem?

I can't access GXB app. After launching the app, it prompted me to update, when tap on the update prompt, it leads me to Google play GX bank App page but no update is available. The process keep looping again and again.
Called CS, the IVR prompted " If you're unable to access your application, please check your OS version, for Android please upgrade to Android 12 and for iPhone please upgrade to 16 and above.
My Poco is currently running android 11 and there is no update available.
How to transfer my money out from GX bank without buying a new phone?

I think you need to ask gxbank that question. they shouldn't have just lock you out like that - quite irresponsible.

if they can't help you - i doubt you can access the funds without getting a new phone or unlock your current phone's bootlocker + upgrade to a custom rom (but dont root it). not sure if that'll still work today. previously it worked for me but i had some issues (can only login once a day). if you want to attempt please watch videos carefully how to do it as you might brick your phone and everything (all data) will be gone.

I don't remember if they send notifications. But not everyone pay attention to it. I'm one of them. I open the app only if I need to transfer fund. Never thought that it ican be such severe consequence. No way to recover, no recourse, even but new phone also can't reactivate the account.

Last happened to aeon bank. They also remove android 11. Other bank is following. Android 11 quite long time ago, so unsecured os
