Anyone facing this problem?

I can't access GXB app. After launching the app, it prompted me to update, when tap on the update prompt, it leads me to Google play GX bank App page but no update is available. The process keep looping again and again.
Called CS, the IVR prompted " If you're unable to access your application, please check your OS version, for Android please upgrade to Android 12 and for iPhone please upgrade to 16 and above.
My Poco is currently running android 11 and there is no update available.
How to transfer my money out from GX bank without buying a new phone?

No solution so far. CS IVR forced us to leave call back phone no after 3 wait in line call extension but never call back.
While waiting, the only option now is to viral it in social media, GX FB, Insta, X, complain to BNM etc to put pressure to GXB. It's utterly ridiculous to cut off depositors money source without any recourse plan.

You can try to clear data and cache of the app if you know how.

Otherwise, uninstall and reinstall may work.

I don't have the problem explained above though.

Called and emailed their cs, instead of whining abt Android 11 bs, i just told them to unbind my acc from the old device, said the phone was lost. Used my friend's ipong (non gx bank user) to login, moved all the money from pockets to main acc and withdrawwwww.

Need to buy a new phone before continue using gx again.

Good, GX Bank is bleeding cash. They have to give perks for those who stay put.

Best way is to raise the deposit rate to entice users to put money in again... but this will mess up their business plan... so maybe expect some other kind of perks coming?

bmm have been auditing banks and non banks on non-siupported os, especially android 11 and below.

hence, service providers are now pushing their apps to support min android 12.

problem is the device binding feature which supposedly protect you but created operational nightmare back to them.

really shitty arrangement.

So we can expect those big banks to have minimum OS of Android 12 from current Android 9??

Year end or Q1 2025 🤔🧐

doubtful so fast without tons of early notice because most of the underserved are on cheaper phones and usually on older OS or buy 2nd hand phone with such outdated OS.

So by end of next year then 😁

Somehow they sure would forced everyone to Android 12... Matter of time only

Digital bank did the first moves... Later all follows 🙏

coins are heavy. in theory they are "worthless" outside of home country. even money changers will not accept them. but i did see one in KL sentral that accepts coins for 1/2 price, 10 years ago. that money changer closed shop
