Waiting till price drops by 50%, then I will install. There is already a glut in solar panels.

the panel actually not that expensive.
it already drop 90% for past decade.

the cost is installation, Inverter, panel bracket and etc
which i see hard to go down, it will go up only.

Yes, labour charges will only go up, wait until no more fuel subsidy mampus already. Didn't realize ralings, brackets, clips etc cost almost rm850 for only 10x 580W if purchased locally.

If 3 is slightly expensive! Too bad their IEC 61727 certificate for SEDA not ready yet.

In layman terms, what is the implication of this certificate for consumers like us? And we talking about Pathgreen?

SHAH ALAM (May 6): The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (Petra) has come up with the affordable “Solar BOLEH!” programme to enable more people to adopt solar energy by installing solar panels in their homes, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

Fadillah, who is also energy transition and water transformation minister, said Petra is collaborating with the AEON Group, Bank Simpanan Nasional and SOLS Energy to implement the programme.

He said the programme, under the People’s Solar Transition Initiative (Solar@Petra Initiative), aims to encourage more people to benefit from the national energy transition agenda and that it is specifically designed to expand domestic users’ access to solar installation schemes and available financing facilities in the market.

Fadillah said that through this public-private collaboration, solar installation subscriptions can be easily made at AEON branches across the country, with special benefits offered to AEON cardholders, such as earning double reward points.

“In the past, residential solar installations were typically done by those who could afford it because the cost was relatively high, but with the ‘Solar BOLEH!’ programme, we believe more people will respond to the call to support the energy transition agenda.

with lfp battery getting more denser thanks to ev, after 10 years we could probably power up a 1hp aircond with just few units of battery for 8 hours

Since your house is 3 phase why choose no1? Verdant would be a better choice because 8kW 3 phase inverter vs single phase 7kW from PlusMax. Pathgreen only if your roof have shading issues.

Hoymiles already have IEC61727. In fact all micro inverters have this feature but SEDA required the actual test report & certification. No implication to end user. "What is the IEC 61727 standard?
This International Standard applies to utility-interconnected photovoltaic (PV) power systems operating in parallel with the utility and utilizing static (solid-state) non-islanding inverters for the conversion of DC to AC."
This is to make sure when TNB blackout your inverter would not feed to grid to prevent from harming TNB workers.

Agree with what adamw said. Verdant & PlusMax pricing so close, of course choose the 3 phase inverter over the single phase one. If you can confirm which inverter you are getting for ERS (assuming it is 3 phase 7kW or 8kW) you can compare the warranties between 5. and 3. and choose the one with better warranty coverage.

let say 12 panel
6 at front and 6 at back.

when morning, front get Sun
when evening, back get Sun

if all string together, this will become shading issue right?

how to solve this?

Usually for string , they have two main mppt. Which string one group together while another group with another mppt.

Like this it won’t be shading problem so much. But if one panel of thst string play up for any reason you might still get lower yield.

and thanks @bee88 for replying my pm thumbsup.gif

Mana ada shading. No trees no high rise. Btw your pricing incorrect. First 2 is ERS WITH Solaris rebate RM4k. So you need to add the RM4k back in to make an apples to apples comparison.

Personally I would forget SAJ, INVT inverters. You want a good inverter to begin with.

That’s not shading. Basically if something shades your solar panel.. like a tree providing shade. Yours is optimizing the panels… easily solved lah.. most string inverter these days have 2 MPTT. So just use both.
