QUOTE(adamw @ Mar 31 2024, 02:00 PM) Estimated KV +-9000kW & north will be above 10k! Also dependent on your rooftop positioning. brand of panels & inverter types! the max kW is cap by the capacity of the inverter's kW rating, right ?Do providers typically size the inverter higher or lower than the total panels kWp ? |

QUOTE(adamw @ Apr 1 2024, 01:00 PM) Depends on model, you need to find out if it's IEC61727 compliant, otherwise SEDA might reject. Most brands have both String/Hybrid. My advice is not to get get Huawei Hybrid, it can only communicate with their own battery brand if I am not mistaken. which is good inverter that you recommend ? |

QUOTE(bee88 @ Apr 1 2024, 12:28 PM) Depends on how you want your setup be. Don’t let the installer dictate what you should get. You should decide what you want. I would prefer a ratio as close to 1:1 your ratio is which vs which ? a bit blurUsually they will give 1:1.3 or 1:1.25. The higher the ratio, the higher the clipping, and in Malaysia weather, you don’t need such high clipping. |

QUOTE(Ivan113 @ Apr 2 2024, 10:57 PM) Want to ask, after I install solar panel, if it generate let's say 500 kwh, will it first deduct the highest tier rate in the TNB bill or the lowest tier rate first? If your actual usage of electricity is 700 kWh for the monthI remember there were some uproar about TNB will first deduct from lowest tier first if I am not mistaken not long ago (Usage) You'll be charged first at these rates 1. 200 kWh at 21.8 sen 2. 100 kWh at 33.4 sen 3. 300 kWh at 51.6 sen 4. 100 kWh at 54.6 sen THEN, (SOLAR) deduct the NEM export (to the Grid) (eg. 500 kWh) 1. minus 100 kWh at 54.6 sen 2. minus 300 kWh at 51.6 sen 3. minus 100 kWh at 33.4 sen ![]() This post has been edited by ronnie: Apr 3 2024, 07:43 AM |

TNB won’t do net and count because they stand to earn less.

SHAH ALAM (May 6): The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (Petra) has come up with the affordable “Solar BOLEH!” programme to enable more people to adopt solar energy by installing solar panels in their homes, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
Fadillah, who is also energy transition and water transformation minister, said Petra is collaborating with the AEON Group, Bank Simpanan Nasional and SOLS Energy to implement the programme. He said the programme, under the People’s Solar Transition Initiative (Solar@Petra Initiative), aims to encourage more people to benefit from the national energy transition agenda and that it is specifically designed to expand domestic users’ access to solar installation schemes and available financing facilities in the market. Fadillah said that through this public-private collaboration, solar installation subscriptions can be easily made at AEON branches across the country, with special benefits offered to AEON cardholders, such as earning double reward points. “In the past, residential solar installations were typically done by those who could afford it because the cost was relatively high, but with the ‘Solar BOLEH!’ programme, we believe more people will respond to the call to support the energy transition agenda. |
