Prices for entire system incl installation is around RM2.8k per kwp now. For larger systems can go to sub Rm2.5k Yours is >Rm4k/kwp. Even though it's small system, it's way too high. Either go larger system or look for other installer |

Want to ask, after I install solar panel, if it generate let's say 500 kwh, will it first deduct the highest tier rate in the TNB bill or the lowest tier rate first?
I remember there were some uproar about TNB will first deduct from lowest tier first if I am not mistaken not long ago |

The company that signed off your NEM must be from this list, does not matter if it's in KL or JB but some people prefer same state thinking that it will be easier to claim for warranty or for service purpose.https://www.seda.gov.my/directory/registere...ider-directory/ Any good recommendation for Penang state? |

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Apr 1 2024, 03:10 PM) I don't even want to bother with SEDA and my local SESCO anymore. Nobody is interested in solar in this state because the electric bill is cheap and the power is generated from bakun dam. I'm want to install solar but SEB and Seda not interested in propelling itStraight opt for self-consumption with battery. Previously, I secured all the necessary materials for the NEM, but unable to find NEM qualified installer/contractor to get NEM application done. Thus zero-export grid tie. [attachmentid=11494206] -.- Since nobody at home from morning to evening*, the saving is really minimal in zero export mode..... K then, time for battery storage : [attachmentid=11494207] [attachmentid=11494208] The only problem is my battery capacity is too small for my solar panel capacity of 4200watts. 51.2V 200Ah. Currently securing purchase of 16 cells of EVE LF280K and 16 cells of Batterotech BT280...... Gonna parallel all 3 packs for total storage of 38kWh. Only way is you off grid and connect it to your ev if you have one. BTW how much u spent in total? This post has been edited by Avangelice: Apr 3 2024, 10:02 AM |

Like 990 import. 700 export. Should be 290 NETT so it should not kena gst 8%, and qualify for icpt rebate. Now, y need to py gst for the 990 import. (Next600) And no icpt rebate. |

TNB won’t do net and count because they stand to earn less.

QUOTE(ronnie @ Apr 3 2024, 10:44 AM) correct. but the reason is not this. The reason is the import is still using the traditional method of generation.. coz the import is the electricity u use mostly at night. At night, TNB still need to burn coal or use other method of generation to produce electricity. hence, it is not considered green energy. |
