I thought was RM590?? Unless you are referring to 512MB modal.

i saw one shop in penang selling sapphire 3850 256mb for RM635 & powercolor for RM619 ..
considered cheap compared to lowyat or not? seems cheap to me
any ideas?

damn ... thats cheap ... unfortunately there's no way to find cheap prices like that in penang ...it's always slightly more expensive than kl areas

I think the price was saturated among the LY shops.... which majority of them selling less than RM600. Hehe, you may get lower price if you are lucky

between 3850 256mb vs 3850 512mb,is there a huge def between this 2?

it depend on ur display (resolution u use), if u use 1280x1024 it should be ok for almost all game.. unless u use for big display then 512mb is needed

I have a question regarding the fan on HD3850. I used riva tuner to override the fan speed to 60%. Is it okay for me to leave the fan running at 60% all the time?

im using 1440x900 which is widescreen

usually size of the memory is important 512 is a must 4 2days game,memory bandwidth also important.Bt seriously a 3850 and 3870 share same design just clock different buy a 3850 upgrade cooling and OC can fight 3870 bro

Actually truth be told...only in Crysis can you see the difference in memory siz in GC...most other games run fine even on 256 cards...So its not entirely true to say most of todays games run best at 512...maybe in the near future...but other than Crysis nothing else really....

As for the fan being left at 60% i would suggest you make it such a way that it changes speed depending on temperature...

y are these top notched cards sellin at a medium range card price? shouldn't they b lik 1.2k or somethin??
