consider it's a laptop with less CPU power (about pentium 3 900mhz cpu) and with smaller SSD capacity and smaller screen. whatever software you can run on the laptop, as long as within the eeepc cpu power, the eeepc can run also it.

interesting item. where you bought it? it's looks like a japanese product. btw, after solder, can it sustain after long period of time? i worry it will melt or loose after long period of high temperature.

I basically bought some samples of every small 4pin that I can find that they're not the same as those on the eeepc sad.gif

And I don't wanna chop the damn webcam cable lor

addon: ah well... at least managed to reduce a couple degrees by just replacing the stock thermal pad to 3M ones.

RM2.50 per piece.. I bought 3. Used 1 and 1/2.

Only marginal effect... last night when I was mucking around.. the temps idles about 53-55C range.

Now its 49C-51C range after 3 hours of websurfing.

Can use soldering iron to heat it up. My problem is that my hands are too shaky (due to excessive malboro and tfk in my youths) to hold both solder and the iron.
