Currently I am on Time Fiber 200mbps paying RM99 per month.

However, the speed/stability in the farther rooms are not that great due to walls/distance (but still stable and useable). Even my PC, is using WiFi connected and there is no fiber connection to any device.

I see Umobile has 5G broadband at RM68. Seems like I can save quite a bit a month and have the flexibility to place the router in a more central location which should offer better speeds.

But is 5G broadband stable enough? At the moment, Time Fiber broadband has never failed me for nearly 5 years, WFH is also smooth. Can I expect the same from 5G Broadband?

Note: If I get U Home 5G, I will be using their bundled router.

You can never compare fixed broadband with mobile broadband when it comes to stability.
Seeing you use TIME, means you are in a high rise most likely. Mobile broadband is not stable for high rise.

If landed, then should be OK. I was using it for WFH on landed earlier until I terminated it as it was underutilized because there is UniFi broadband installed.

Time to use their prepaid sim and use phone to do speedtest a couple of days to at least get a feel how good their signal/speed actually is at my place. Thanks for the reply.

Unable to tell, I failed to find setting on POCO F7 to show service provider name on the notification bar.

Ooo it shows up when I off the screen and on pressing power button without actual use thumbprint to unlock. It is Ultra5G.

Taman Suria Penampang, I had connected to Ultra5g for a short while and managed to get download more 1000mbps but ookla failed to do upload. Then the connection dropped to 4g and stayed at 4g. Ultra5g seems unstable.

Then I put to flight mode and connect back get normal u mobile 5g, the above is the result. Slower than Ultra5g in terms of download but at least it is stable enough to complete the test.

Seems like u mobile Ultra5g still not quite usable yet, maybe need to wait a few more months for them to make things work.

When I finally get it to complete the test on Ultra5g.
