QUOTE(plouffle0789 @ Jun 5 2024, 06:49 PM) Does anyone know which month's of my salary will be on hold by the employer? May, June, or July?
I didnt have my salary on hold by employer. QUOTE(plouffle0789 @ Jun 5 2024, 06:49 PM) For PRs in their first year:
Employee Contribution: 5% of the employee's monthly salary.
Employer Contribution: 9% of the employee's monthly salary.
If not mistaken, the 9% is employer + employee. So employer only provide 4%.

Dam ure rich .. haha .. if my company had not offered me 5+17 I would have gone for gradual. They even sent reminder to remind me to submit my application. I was like a headless chicken busy with my own schedule and disregard their emails describing what I should do after.

Getting Started

|
QUOTE(plouffle0789 @ Jun 5 2024, 06:49 PM) Does anyone know which month's of my salary will be on hold by the employer? May, June, or July? CPF Contribution Rate Table from 1 January 2024 for Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) during their first year of SPR status under graduated contribution rates (G/G) they wont on hold ur salary 1. my HR told me the cpf contribution will only start after u get the Form 5 or 5a iirc which u will only get after your pr formility. (u can get the form in my ICA) and my gf ep pass is still with her until now.

I can’t seem to find my old Q pass card, so I guess I must have handed that in to exchange for my blue IC… that’s why I’m asking whether we need to hand our passes in or otherwise. Thanks for clarifying

Thanks for clarifying I rmb it was compulsory to return your pass. I returned my EP when I moved to student. But, apparently it no longer the case.

Thanks for clarifying Mine handed back. I believe yours the same. Back then EP was only a paper laminated card (green color if I remember correctly), not even a hard card type. WP was a hard card like current. This post has been edited by jojolicia: Jun 6 2024, 03:46 PM

QUOTE(malz89 @ Jun 6 2024, 04:25 PM) Wow .. seems like EP was the lower end of WP .. haha In my day, we were given a Q pass. Which from memory, has 2 categories, Q1 and Q2. As my salary was so low, I was given the lesser of the Q pass (I can’t remember which) … essentially like a work permit but for white collar workers. Or, you could look at it as an EP but waaaay cheaper. The difference was I was actually invited to apply for PR after I finished housemanship and I jumped at the opportunity.
