I'm already running 1.1.2 after restoring my Touch yesterday. It's a 150MB update again and I noticed slight speed in performance, Calendar now can add event (which is Mr. Jobs said it was a bug and will be on the next update, it's true and thank you) and lastly some new languages.

After restored (1.1.2), are you running a jailbreak ipod or virgin one?

Virgin snow, lol. I've downgraded from 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 to rejailbreak it.

Added on November 12, 2007, 2:32 amBtw for those of you who jailbreaked your iPod touch, you guys can go to Installer and find for SysInfo. It's a great app to watch for app processes and kill them. Just like Task Manager.

Do I really have to downgrade my 1.1.2 to Jailbreak? Where can I find the main source of Jailbreak? Kinda noob in this as I've not Jailbroken my iPod touch yet... :S

i've jailbreak mine using the new one where itll do everything for me. the problem now is i cant find the apps for mail and maps. can someone help?

Okay, I haven't do a search, am kinda lazy, but hopefully you guys are willing to help me. Where can I get the 1.1.1 firmware? Mine's upgraded to 1.1.2, and I need to "downgrade" it to Jailbreak it (according to ipodtouchfans.com).

sorry, noob here. i cant seem to connect to my ipod using the cute ftp. ive typed in my ipod's ip address,username and password but it keeps saying 'the host validation failed'.

edit: there is no 'media_sym' folder

just out of curiousity,

has anyone who performed the jailbreak on the earlier version tried syncing with the updated itunes?

If you couldnt' find your media_sym folder, it probably means that you sync-ed it using a PC .. and therefore, the file system isn't exactly as the same. Therefore, your "Media_sym" will be your "root" ..

just make sure you go to the root or first directory.

If need to downgrade, how suppose to go with it ? Or RESTORE will back to my original version v1.1 ?

Pls help.... I wanted to JailBreak mine long time back, but 1st need to figure it out and gather all the information needed.
