Well, it allows you to use 3rd party applications that cannot be run on non-jailbroken units.

I haven't jailbroken my iPod Touch 2G (2.2) yet. I don't wish to try the tethered jailbreak method.

Jailbreak huh? Why not you spent actual $$ to buy those app and support the developer? I've spent over $200 on the apps. Sorry but I really hate cracked apps. Will it hurt much to pay at least some $$ to support the dev?

I really would do so, seeing that i'm a psp developer myself, but i don't have a credit card nor a paypal account. I'm 16, so obviously my dad would not get me a credit card lol.

I'll develop some apps, sell it, then use that money to buy more applications. That, i think would be the most reasonable thing to do, but yea, i still would JailBreak my iPod Touch. Not for the sake of enjoying free applications, but for the sake of themes and many other cool stuff that can only be enjoyed on jailbroken units.

Hey bro, go do some research on jailbreaking.
Jailbreaking allows you to install 3RD PARTY applications which apple doesn't approve to sell in app store. Although jailbreaking allows us to install cracked app too, but my reason of jailbreaking is not to install cracked app. Btw, we are NOT allowed to talk about cracked app.

I jailbroken my ipod since the dev team just released redsn0w. Although i aready JBed it, i also spent hundreds of dollars in app store.

Dont think jailbreaking is to install cracked app!

Any Apple retailer in KL can actually help Jailbreaking ? I wanted to try but was too afraid if I would kill my iTouch. It's a 2nd gen by the way.

Authorized Apple reseller wont do jailbreak for you. it wont kill your ipod touch, if anything happens, just DFU and restore to the original firmware.
