QUOTE(friends @ Nov 5 2007, 10:20 PM)
i wonder to jailbreak iPod Touch, must I have the WiFi in order to hang-up the iPod Touch's Safari ?

If I dont' have WiFi at home... am I still able to JailBreak ?
Pls advise... thanks

as far as i know, you have to use wifi to jailbreak.

go to any free hotspots (eg. starbucks)
u can use safari in ipod touch to jailbreak by going to www.jailbreakme.com and it will install an app call installer.app
this app is abt 6mb if i am not mistaken. but be sure that u have good connection.
my first few try at my gf's hse with weak signal, it didnt work.

good luck

Hehe, don't forget Ebook is pretty useful as well. We don't need the big bulky Sony Book Reader, just use your Touch cause it's pretty small and nice in your hand. Fit well in your pocket as well.

What you mean normal function, is it features? Yes. Jailbreaking is just opening up a locked door to install other 3rd party applications. You break a locked door inside your house but you can still live in there.

hey does jailbreak have some sort of application that will allow you to change your equalizer settings?(hopegully a decent gui 5 band?).I'm kinda sick of the lame default eq settings that are provided for me on my touch.

If there is one please post a link here...Thanks!

The only unresponsiveness i experience is the quick music control panel (hit the Home button, twice).

And I would like to take this opportunity to warn all of us here NOT to update to iTunes 7.5 and firmware 1.1.2 yet. You will stand a good chance ending up with a RM1.5k paper weight if you decided to go against this advice.

How safe is the jailbreak? It won't break my iPod Touch right? Do I also have to put in my list of songs again if I wanna undo the jailbreak?

By restoring to default, all your files and settings will be gone. So start by step 1 again.

Apparently the new iTunes 7.5 would update your touch to 1.1.2. So if you've jailbroken your iPod, you are strongly urged not update. Any ill-effect of this update is not known yet but it is very likely that it will brick your iPod. As for stock (new) iPod touch, you may not wanna update if you have intention to jailbreak your iPod.

It seems that the new batch of iPod touches would come with 1.1.2 firmware pre-installed. So if you are planning to get your iPod now you may be out of luck with jailbreaking.

Jailbreaking is safe and by no means could brick your iPod, if you could follow the instructions properly.

There's nothing to be afraid, go on and download iTunes 7.5 and update to 1.1.2 cause:

Firmware 1.1.2 can be jailbreak! smile.gif
