ok, to some mac user, i followed ths instruction i found online and it worked on my touch to install iphone app. simple, straight forward instruction. here u go:

"kay, here is a guide for those who wants to get iPhone apps on the iPod touch

first, download this file:

http://www.sharebig.com/share.php?id=s4bcbekqmkJEHKPB

OR

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GN9CKYJX

After unzip, there are eight files / folders in total, and place them on your iPod Touch as follow, replace if prompt.

**IMPORTANT, change file permission to 755 via ftp or ssh. REMEMBER, all files in folders and subfolders have to be in permission 755 for the apps to run properly**

Weather.app, MobileMail.app, Stock.app, Maps.app, MobileNotes to /Applications/

GMM.framework to /System/Library/Frameworks/
Framework for Maps.app, MobileMail.app (Not sure if MobileMail need this tho, but I have GMM installed before installing MobileMail)

N45AP.plist to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/
The file above is for enabling the add / edit calendar events

MobileMailSettings.bundle to /System/Library/PreferenceBundles/
The file above is for MobileMail's accounts setting

Best advice for transferring the folders and files to ipod touch:

Use some FTP client that supports SFTP, in this way, permissions could be applied easily without a fuss. For Os X, use CyberDuck, remember to check the box "Apply permission recursively". For windows, try WS_FTP, it should work like cyber duck

Reboot and enjoy

A method to resolve crash in windows (By mepman)
If your apps crash then login to putty(http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/.../x86/putty.exe)
with username: root & password: alpine and type the following.

/bin/csh

/bin/chmod -Rf a+x /Applications/*

Similarly, using terminal in OS X, ssh to your iPod Touch, and type the above"

i'm not sure if this was posted before. good luck

yes it worked on me. i'm using os X.
to sftp :
login : root
password: alpine
and make sure all the file permission is 755.

i used cyberduck on my mac and i checked on the "Apply permission recursively" and it work. it won't work if u didnt do so.
good luck

i wonder to jailbreak iPod Touch, must I have the WiFi in order to hang-up the iPod Touch's Safari ?

If I dont' have WiFi at home... am I still able to JailBreak ?
Pls advise... thanks

as far as i know, you have to use wifi to jailbreak.

go to any free hotspots (eg. starbucks)
u can use safari in ipod touch to jailbreak by going to www.jailbreakme.com and it will install an app call installer.app
this app is abt 6mb if i am not mistaken. but be sure that u have good connection.
my first few try at my gf's hse with weak signal, it didnt work.

good luck
