I got so many application. Here is some.

1. Sofo - submitted resume since march. Shortlisted. Still waiting for interview with hiring manager. Follow up until today, no update yet
2. Airswift - submitted resume since march, april got shortlist. Still waiting for interview. Follow up until today, not upate yet
3. Thinkplus, asm, nesf, rajab - all these expected to have open interview on mid july. But i called asm once. They say expected those shortlisted for the iv will be called estimate 2 weeks before mid july
4. So many direct application in ME company website eg. Sabic, aramco, qe, qelng, adnoc etc. No call at all. Some of it being rejected

There you go.

So yeah. For me everything still status quo. I still staying in my green company. Finger crossed. If get it then i get it. By now not hoping much

But at least i know those skills that really attractive to company. Like getting certs n all that. Currently applying for CEng, Ts whatever it is

May I suggest use LinkedIn to find jobs?

Sofomation usually hires for PETRONAS. Call comes in from overseas number with indian accent usually....

Would say my primary listing coming from linkedin. That one even countless submission. Got few call but the offer doesnt meet my expectation. I need at least 3 to 4 times higher than my current salary. Thats my baseline of accepting the offer

Sofo is legit. No issue about that. Yup. They are from india. But i can assure you they are doing their job really well. I follow up many time, they dont get tired for answering.

Got 1 of my colleague currently getting job tru sofo. Now he is earning about usd10k per month with only about 8 years of exp. in pet.

So im currently applying the same company with him, but the agent says no update yet from his client (petrochina). I also checked with him if the position is already filled. He said no. The position is still there.

This one im really looking forward right now. Plus the others. Dunno how long need to wait 🥲

I heard Aramco and Qatar Energy is coming to Malaysia for hiring campaign. so if you shortlisted for those, you will get to know the exact details like 1-2 weeks before it happened. For Qatar Energy it happened for last 2 years and I went to one last year.

They like the green company employees, so all the best.

can share where was CEng?

Im applying for IET.

Just got my MIET.

Awaiting for assessment by oct/nov for CEng.

Its widely posted as if to happen this 14-18 july.

But from my follow up, no one was short listed yet.

They say the client (aramco) is settling the recruitment drive at other places ie turkey india egypt etc before coming to malaysia or SEA (philipines @ SG)

And yes, i heard also those shortlisted will be notified 2 weeks prior to the interview

Come July 2024, PETROS will take over gas business in Sarawak.

What does that entail?

20-25% rev cut

10% opex reduction

25B for gas 18 months , possibly 50B+- if oil business is taken over .

Does this include LNG?

The whole Umbrella . Not only upstream iirc .

Time to apply to PETROS.

Yeap interview in Singapore next week, quite last minute

They do have campaign in Msia from 14-18 July and it has been confirmed with selected candidate as well. But the campaign will be hiring people thru manpower agency.

if you get called to Singapore for IV that would be better as it will be direct hire with Aramco, usually come with better benefit i.e. family package and all.
