You can only cure the CAUSE of the bald spot,
then the missing quills will grow back by themselves eventually

You check carefully. Only use frontline when you are sure there are mites. You look carefully. We must not simply use frontline on hedgehogs coz it is after all poison.

If sheimi is not scratching, not producing dandruff, then it has no mites lah. Just give him a normal bath. Quills will grow back. It is afterall their hair... like ours lah, we also sometimes drop hair.

Hi guys I need help here, my gf's male hedgie is not well.
Weak, not eating much, green poop. Does anyone know or seen any Vet in KL/PJ area that you've send your hedgie to? Please pass me your contact. The Vet I know are good at cats & dogs, unsure about hedgie.

Call and ask them for a vet that can treat hedgehogs.... coz I don't think Dr Yeoh is at his clinic everyday. Anyway, so far he can treat hedgehogs well, even sugar gliders.

Hmm next time what happen again to my Bo Chai then direct go to Dr Yeoh there. Did Dr Yeoh also can handle for Chincilla?

my friends keep on telling me his grown bigger but i din really recognize it.
But when i played wif him just now.. just realize and also when he climb to my hand... then i know he's bigger than before... haha

btw.. just bought j&j shampoo wif wheatgerm... will try to giv him his 1st bath next week... hehe

Sometime i want take picture for my Bo Chai, but he always run away

^ he.. actually same like ur Bo Chai.. can't sit still and want to climb my hand.. but I tried to hold him and say stop stop and something he will just sit there or just stone then sitting... then I faster took my cam lol
sometimes when i put my cam near him, he will sniff sniff then stone there... which mean he want me to take his pic? XDD

called him ken... but nowadays keep on called him baby...
and the more funny things is... i called him ken, 1 of my housmate kept on calling him gigi by themself.. and when my bestfriend came she called him baby... hahaha

Hand tame hedgehogs are cuties, they are very trusting and also very curious. The hoglet loves to chew my fingers and give me licks too.

Last time when my friend bred his hedgehogs, all his hoglets got birth certificate wan. Kinda cute. This little hoglet I got was born on Halloween's Eve.... easy to remember.

i went to summit just now..saw outside zara's petshot there were 4hoglets. 1S&P 3albino.
but they are underage..looked so puny..

Catfood, do get hold of Royal Canin.... you can use Fit 32, which is better. Or if you can spend some money, get hold of Acana catfood, or Orijen catfood. Look around, some brands like Evolve, Go Natural, Felidae.. can be used. Do not get anything from supermarkets.

Pitiful rite? Why are they puny? Well, sometimes a female would cannibalize their young so to avoid losing money (coz 1 hoglet can fetch RM300) the breeders would separate the hoglets at 3 weeks old or 4 weeks old. I saw before Carrefour selling albino hoglets that are the same size as my hoglet. So you can imagine how unhealthy they are since they do not get enough nutrients when separated at a young age.... the sellers won't even soak the catfood, just dump dry ones in. Sometimes they feed low quality catfood.
