QUOTE Cimredopyh, thank for the link...very informative.... Np QUOTE Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo with wheatgerm. laugh.gif Ohhh i see QUOTE There are plenty of organic and safe shampoos for sale for dogs and cats, just you need to know where to find and get the money.... coz normally 1 bottle is like rm30 over or RM40 over. Anything less than RM 100 is still ok however i was thinking of organic oatmeal the edible type, what you do is soak it like ur making tea then strain the water to remove all the oatmeal and then bathe the hedgie with it, supposed to be very comforting and soothing esp during quilling (read about it on Chins&Quills forum) QUOTE ol lenglui, you really did your research too well biggrin.gif. seems like demon's doing well there. you manja him too much hahahah smile.gif. im proud to see you guys post new and lots of pics of your hedgie. Keep them coming k! wink.gif How not to manja hes SOO CUTE!!! |

QUOTE(Cimredopyh @ Nov 26 2007, 11:54 AM) Some hedgie will only bond with its owner, and its becoming increasingly apparent when they get older. Thats why for hedgie it is not adviseable to get an older one(more than 4 months old), since althought they can be incredibly tame and playful with their owner, they can suddenly change personality to cautious and hostile towards new owner scent. |

Better to clip its nails right after you bath it cause at that time the nails are softer, hence easier to cut. ^^ |

Yup. Normal clipper already can. Just make sure it's sharp enough to do it at one shot. May be you can search for those nail clipper for baby use. Cut the nails after bath. Like C_w_sam said, the nails are soft that time. So easier.

You have to trim the long nails on the back leg.... if you do not do so, it would break off by itself and hurt the hedgie coz it would break at the quick, which is the vein and that is painful.

Actually, hedgehogs rarely bite. I babysit a few hedgehogs before, touched many hedgehogs that are not familiar with me, none has ever bit me but one of mine did when I forgot to wash my hands after touching some dogs. You can let people babysit. Tame hedgehogs would not bite anyone unless their hands smell like some other animal or some chemical. The one about biting people that are not their owners.... that is kinda uncommon lah. It could be wrong handling or wrong touching. Never put your hand infront of a grumpy hedgehog, for sure it would in someway show it's anger.... QUOTE(rumizu @ Nov 28 2007, 12:40 PM) guys.. How big is the bald spot? are you sure it is mites? Sometimes sparseness can appear after quilling and it would grow back.yesterday while playing with sheimi, i noticed a little bald spot on his body? why did that happened, eh? is it because of mites? how to cure it? |
