Pitiful rite? Why are they puny? Well, sometimes a female would cannibalize their young so to avoid losing money (coz 1 hoglet can fetch RM300) the breeders would separate the hoglets at 3 weeks old or 4 weeks old. I saw before Carrefour selling albino hoglets that are the same size as my hoglet. So you can imagine how unhealthy they are since they do not get enough nutrients when separated at a young age.... the sellers won't even soak the catfood, just dump dry ones in. Sometimes they feed low quality catfood.

they put that terra lighting there i have no idea why.. and all of them just cuddle up together.. i just dont like the way they are selling that at such young stage..

hi everyone,

i just got a hedgie with my bf (yet to name him yet) but the day we got him from one of the sellers here, it clicked. we took it home and left it alone for a day... the next day, we fed it cricket and small worms... he loved it but sometimes, he's still kinda aggresive. for now, we don't dare to carry him or even do anything with him yet. we gave him our clothes and he did self anointing after that. is it common for him to nibble on the clothe? and does it hurt if we let him nibble us? how do we go about from here?

btw, he's super handsome and cute. just kinda insecure now... >.<
help!
*
hi allsaints, congrats on getting your hedgie and welcome to the community.
how old is your little handsome boy there?

Crying? LOL.... Does it sound like squeaking? Or like a little bird chirping? Do explain....
*
it sounds like squeking type of crying? heck this is something hard to figure out, and when i go see him, he's just all quiet and sleeping. it already happened once and this is the 2nd time, 1st time is even longer.
-edited-

and its quite loud too..
