whs is the hind legs i think, not sure if it affects one side only.
help the hog exercise and make sure he can reach his food & water if u bred him before, u shld probably let the owners who bought his offspring know so that they can look out for this Added on October 25, 2007, 12:22 pmhere's something for us to ponder about hog being solitary. i have a pair of hogs. 1 male and 1 female. i keep them in a petroom where i used to have my sugar gliders & hamsters. in separate toyogo boxes. but the female always climbs into the male's box & they like to sleep together in the same hidebox. every time i separate them, this happens, she wil climb into the next box. so much so that i have to put them in separate rooms now to prevent accidental mating. so is it true that hogs are solitary animals? sure we have read about hogs in the wild being solitary but i believe as they get domesticated(in terms of diet, habitat, breeding habits) after generations of breeding , we chg their behavior too. what do you think, ppl? QUOTE(summer&sushi @ Oct 24 2007, 10:11 AM) yea.. bt not sure whether i have diffrent smell cuz no other type of animal in my house.. even wen my mum & bro let my hedgie lick sure resulted in softbite... wil it be like puppy? .. teeth gatal den love 2 bite smthng Well, maybe your friend had another type of interesting smell. Coz they do have better noses than us. anyway, when it bites, move your hand away and tap the nose or push the nose away.QUOTE(carebears_may @ Oct 24 2007, 05:33 PM) hi.. i'm new here. got a hedgehog for about 1 year. did anybody really know about wobbly hedgehog syndrome? read through the info from internet but still dunno wat really is. i suspect my hedgie diagnose with this thing la. his left body side its like very heavy and walk very slow. i'm worried la. anybody can help me. he's about 1 year ++ albino. Wow, your hedgehog is quite overweight. What food have you bee feeding Zai? He could be walking slow coz body weight heavy..... do you have a wheel? Or do you let him out of his tank to walk around?Added on October 24, 2007, 6:06 pmthis is my hedgie. name him piggy zai ![]() QUOTE(hungheykwun @ Oct 25 2007, 12:08 PM) whs is the hind legs i think, not sure if it affects one side only. By nature, they are solitary.... but they do fight. Who knows, the female may climb in coz she wants to breed.... coz animals can smell breeding hormones. When I left my male in the female's tank for 2 weeks to breed, my male got a bitten ear. Your hedgie just loves to eat hahahah... the last time I saw him, he was such a piggy.... if he lost weight already, then that is good.i bela him for about a year d. recently only saw him got this sickness.. this hedgie was actually from Reanne. I guess for now you can give him the best loh. He really is a happy hedgie, all the good food. If he got WHS, he won't be running on his wheel but you would need to let him walk around your home abit, with you keeping an eye on him.
