Yalor, lots of people's first impression of chinchilla is a RABBIT! I think because of how chinchilla stand and the ear that cause illusion.

last night was like a sweet dream to me..
i looked into Sheimi's container to give him food..
he was there beside the food bowl, looking at me..
he stared quite some times.. i put the food inside the bowl..
he didn't move at all.. looked at me again.. then ate the kibbles..
i think i slept with a big smile on my face last night..

i wonder what is the upkeep costs of this kind of pet??

not a lot really, the initial expenses needed to buy the hedgehog (duh...), the cage, wheel, food, and stuff will probably throw you about RM400+- poorer (if you're getting it from a breeder).

keeping the hedgehog don't really require a lot of money, other than getting the food and some occasional treats, plus the bedding, i don't think you'll even need RM20 a month to maintain.

of course, you'll need to occasionally bring it to the vet for health check, other than that i don't think there's any hidden expenses.

food: +-RM10
bedding: +-RM30 (breeder celect) use wood shavings if wanna save..
