can anyone recommend me for the installation of automatic gate pls, m in subang area.

Anyone have idea if my case is i will ask a steel contractor to make me the gate ( a friend ) and after that getting a folding autogate system for it. The porch area is originally completed with granite finish (subsale house). Any problem or big hassle with this arrangement...

No problem at all. Not much hassle. But is always advisable to get both task together at the same time. Reason is simple, folding gate system have the tendency of having either small opening gap or else end up big which is disadvantage to owner for losing space available upon gate opening. Whether the motor gate system able to open smoothly and to its maximum degree opening depends on the fabrication of folding gate and measurement.

Price is varies from rm 400 to rm 1k ++ depending the cores of cables inside and the length required.

Normally is autogate using direct power from the supply or there is a transformer bringing down the power to non-dangerous level?

Usually step down is in the box. But some have option like solar don't use direct Ac power.

Hi @jimmylim85, i notice the DC moto keypad uses the 23A 12V battery. How long does the battery last? I have 2 unit of ceiling fan's remote that use 23A battery, it only last for a week before it fully depleted.

what the different between jackpro and dc motor brand? I am in dilema which to choose. jackpro i see using the hydraulic type arm whilst the dc moto using the arm steel with gear.

DC moto quote me for hybrid system all in RM1.8k (direct email to the distrbtr) while Jackpro sent me a catalogue..lot of model which i dont knw how to choose.

Thanks. Yes, i noticed there is a box beside the auto gate.
One of the door is not functioning. Previously it was due to "loose" connection in the wiring.

I noticed that the wire is somehow very "brittle". This makes it becoming susceptible to snap.
Is it necessary to have all the wires get connected to the screw?

For AC Motor driven, is direct power to the circuit board. There is still a small transformer to provide auxiliary power for RECEIVER.

FOR DC Motor driven, direct power is to connected to a big transformer to be step down to 12v 0v 12v AC supply then only go into the circuit board.

DC Motor is always safer to operate for residential home.

Minimum last 6 months to a year. If your ceiling fan remote control only lasted a week then the remote control is faulty as it has short circuit which depletes the battery juice even when you're not using it.

I was told it's similar with D'nor, my gate installer recommended me to use this brand and i am hesitate shd i take it

He is the one who installed my auto gate. His contact 012-2060 138. Does anyone know how long the backup batt last? My house had a power failure last week for about 1hr plus, and my autogate can't open. I thought the backup batt was supposed to last longer than tat.
