Hi, house is starting renovation soon and was recommended by the contractor to fix the 15 feet folding gate.(2 sedan car can move in and out easily? with the 15 feet folding gate) I need a gate thats easy to maintain(maintenance free would be good.. haha), but am not looking at stainless steel gate. I was told 15 feet aluminium folding gate costs RM5k plus, my budget is only rm3500. Btw, is it possible to do a smaller gate inside the folding gate for easy access? Meaning if I parked my car outside, no need to open the folding gate, just open the small gate to go to my car. So, I'm left with wrought iron gate. Any other recommendation? I like this kinda gate so here is the pix.. Any idea what's the price this gate? Uploaded with ImageShack.usAnd after reading thru a few pages, it seems that OAE is the system to get and Winson is the guy to look for. What about DCmoto? I already hv the wires(will the contractor still charge me for wiring?), currently using West Mark for my swing gate, damn reliable.. think its more than 5yrs problem free. Thanks!

jimmylim85 and the nice ppl here,
What do u guys think of this brand Magtechnic NX-3( www.magtechnic.com ). Was quoted RM1388, 4yrs warranty. From the spec, it looks like OAE. Any comments? My gate will be 17feet, so should be no problem with this model right?

Just spoke to Winson. Asked him bout OAE/Mag 303 and Dcmoto 925. Price difference of Rm200. Was told the 303 can only open 1 side gate/leaf or both. The board is MW40 and costs rm200plus to change if got problem. DCmoto can open either side and I believe the board is more sophisticated(which means more expensive to repair or replace too). Honestly I think DCMoto looks nice and neat. Both has 1yr warranty. Winson also said in terms of parts, Oae 303 would be easier to source/repair. Im torn between Oae and Dcmoto. Decisions...decisions... i dont want to hv headache of autogate problems(problem free for few yrs oso Im happy), difficult to repair or source for spare parts.

QUOTE(saprozeldo @ Jul 8 2013, 06:39 PM) hi all.. am noobie here.. had an underground swingarm.. lasted me 6 years.. now facing inconsistencies in the past 3 months.. taking the opportunity to widen my gate from 12-13' to between 21-22'.. after reading all the post in this thread (year 2013 only), i'm nowhere nearing to making a decision.. i'm now left to estathics.. dcmoto 925 or casa asia.. both looks more tidy and structured than then arm type.. now that is sorted, have to figure where to find a contemporary design 21-22' folding gate with a built-in walkthru door and tracks.. i live in kota damansara, PJ and would appreciate anyone who knows a reliable supplier / custom gate maker that i can contact.. thanks in advance.. I am engaging Winson to install my Dcmoto this week. Will update about his workmanship after he fix my autogate. So far quite a few forummer recommend Winson(http://ots2u.com/)

QUOTE(petlu28 @ Jul 9 2013, 10:04 AM) Good wait your news later. Ok, Winson came to fix my autogate today, had good experience with him. All done in ~2hrs. The DCmoto looks really nice and very silent when in operation. He explain how the DCmoto works in detail. So, yeah.. I would recommend Winson. QUOTE(petlu28 @ Jul 12 2013, 12:05 PM) include backup battery right? Can manually open the gate? Yes included. They provide a few spare keys to bypass the motor.

QUOTE(~Battousai~ @ Jul 12 2013, 03:53 PM) open completely takes how many seconds ? About 12sec, for 16feet folding gate. I don't know if this speed/timing is ok or not. Too fast? Too slow? Or normal?

QUOTE(jpaul @ Sep 5 2013, 11:16 PM) Who is Winston? Can provide his contact? He is the one who installed my auto gate. His contact 012-2060 138. Does anyone know how long the backup batt last? My house had a power failure last week for about 1hr plus, and my autogate can't open. I thought the backup batt was supposed to last longer than tat.
