Walked in to UTC Perak to complete the application and got the passport within 1.5 hours. Had to get a ticket via QMS app though - please note QMS app only available on iOS AppStore if the region is set to Malaysia.

I went to UTC shah alam just to replace My IC due to chip rosak . 3rd in line but need to wait another 30-40 mins to collect . Coz i know Upstairs got immigration counter , i went up tried to pick up a number around 8.50 am . To My luck still got number also . Like 40 in queue. From going to counter ( mine old passport hilang so they had to create a report actually ) to taking pic to bayaran to collection . Took up till 1.00 pm .
I would say im satisfied only the waiting can be quite long . Seats are many . Bring a pen and u can print ur IC at the tour agency offices just next to the waiting area .
The UTC shah alam itself has many gov and gov linked counters . Got foodcourt , barber also .
When u sign and pick up the passport, got three types of passport cover official  for sale . The rm25 cover is the nicest one . Regret not buying it .
