How's the wiping, does it leave minor water residue?

Mine has minor residue, but yeah as long as no juddering, streaking im ok.. Those are annoying and disturbing concentration when driving

been using PIAA silicone wiper on my parent's car for more than 6 years never change, and my car for more than 3 years never change

both have 0 issue with skipping or harden, and no treatment done to the windscreen before and after install

this wiper seems to last a life time

Using PIAA silicone refill blades on 3/4 of my cars. All last until now never change, except for kancil (got changed out mistakenly  by my visiting uncle after loan this car to him for 6 mths). Oldest is 13yrs on weekend car, followed by 9.5yrs for a daily driven workhorse.

For the workhorse, it went thru the most inclement weather you can throw at it in Semenanjung roads, and it still wipe like day 1 till now. If it streaks a bit, all I have to do is just wipe the PIAA blades with wet tissue (to scrub out dirts) and it works like new again.

On my other workhorse (that 1/4 above), I am using normal silicone blades (Mr.DIY ones currently, at half of PIAA price). Can wipe clean, but if too little water on screen to lubricate, they will skip a bit.

If you are having doubt, but eager to try, search for " PIAA refill blade" in Lazada/Shopee. You can install these PIAA blades in your existing wiper frames. Of kos, I am ass-uming you are using those normal black metal wiper frames coz some cars maybe using frameless wipers.

In other countries, you just have to change the rubber blade. The whole wiper arm which is made of metal does not need changing.

Cheaper, less waste.

one time i bought wiper from roadside seller. i said want just cheap regular one, seller upsell me clear silicone wiper, said very good.

the silicone wiper scratches the windshield.

which PIAA model? seems like they have few tiers on shopee. Radix, super graphite and aero vogue.

Do u use those windshield wiper fluid?

PIAA wipers need do coating on window to reduce the juddering.
If you buy those expensive PIAA wiper set, usually they will provide the coating liquid to apply on windscreen before you fit it.

nope bro, i dont use any wiper fluid.

Means only the PIAA wiper is not enuf, must combine with effect from the windscreen coating

The window coating is the one help reduce the juddering effect, making it smooth when operating and also help repel water better in combination of both. If you don't want the coating, you can can still use the PIAA wiper but for some car window design or condition it may create the juddering effect more frequently.

Is it better to get more expensive wiper blades replace when needed or buy cheaper wiper but replace them every year?

Right now I'm using bosch clear advantage, started to leave water streaks after 2 years of use.
