QUOTE(littlefire @ Jan 23 2025, 08:56 AM) Yes, with that kind of budget can get Michelin Primacy 4 series. Since just want smooth and quiet drive, Primacy 4 would be sufficient. Other options, Bridgestone Turanza T005 or Hankook Ventus Prime 4. Is Primacy 4 quiter than Turanza T005?

My car has been running Conti's Extreme Contact DWS06+ for the past few years (recond unit), but will need tyres changing very soon, was trying to find the exact same tyres to replace it as they are quite a good IMO, quiet, grips well on dry and wet, but couldnt find any in Malaysia, closest being the MaxContact 7.
My main objective for the tyres are for it to be a good touring tyres that are quiet and performs well for the average road user, ideally something that is on par or better than the Extreme Contact i currently have. I'd rather spend a few hundred bucks extra now than regret changing to a worse tyre and regret for the next 30-50k km.
Any suggestions will be most welcomed, and thanks in advance

Is Yokohama AE61 a good tyre for SUV? Mine is 22565R17 and currently using Michelin Primacy SUV...looking to replace all 4 of them but Michelin is costly. Yokohama is like almost 200 bucks cheaper than Michelin so not sure good or not.

QUOTE(SomeoneElse @ Mar 15 2025, 03:49 PM) Thanks for the reply. In terms of road noisy, especially in poor road conditions (which there are a lot), is it too loud? For me its is acceptable (for tyre noise) from my experience with PS3, and how many cycles of PS4. The grip when heavy rain is there from this tyres. Myself use it on Alor Gajah made car, my ear accustomed to poor NVH, high noise from outside on my car, so tyre noise wont bother that much. But drove my sister's car, W212 E-Class Mercedes, also with PS4, due to much better NVH, almost no tyre noise from this tyre. Same goes to other old Merz w211 diesel, also similar feedback due to better NVH than my car. On other note, saw Giti (forgot which model) comes with tyre foam inside the tyres similar to one high end Pirelli model, maybe can have a look on that This post has been edited by ayamxxx: Mar 16 2025, 09:47 AM

Hi ts and sifus here. Looking to change my tyres and would love some feedback. Currently using primacy 4 and i already locked my next tyres to be either bridgestone turanza t005a or hankook ventus prime 4. Any feedback between this 2? - main priority is wet handling and braking, as i usually drive fast during rain. My cruising speed during dry days and rainy days are the same - second priority is noise and longetivity. - budget not an issue - definitely wont be going back to primacy 4 as i would like to try other brands. Primacy 5 also no for now, but most likely will be next (after either t005a/vp4). Only interested in touring tyres, not performance tyres. Thank you

QUOTE(DM3 @ Mar 19 2025, 07:47 AM) VP4 is real deal fr grip n performance vs primacy n Turanza n way worth the price Vp4 really that good? To be honest, I never use korean or china brands before, as I am quite sceptical on those. Until now where I keep read good reviews on vp4. Safety is most important. If vp4 really good, then I might try it.

Well many users like me started off long time ago with the V12,jus love the grip of course back then sceptical also y cheap n then their reputations/popularity grew. I've used V12 many sets n then s1 Evo n Vp3 ,PS3,ps4,contis,bridgestone, older toyos. Fyi I changed tyres yearly so had many try outs.

Michelin? primacy suv should last long and quiet if you are not going too much to extreme performance if that is made available to your size. i use ps4 suv and primacy suv before. the rolling resistance if low and grip is good for ps4 suv but noisy and the treadwear is going to be fast. primacy is much more quiet and good enough for normal use with reasonable treadwear
