QUOTE(littlefire @ Jan 29 2024, 09:31 AM) If you ask michelin, max 10 years. After 5 years, check yearly by professionals/experts. Yup thts michelins but generally other brands or rubbers wont last very long with our weather herehttps://www.michelin.com.my/auto/advice/cha...g-do-tyres-last |

QUOTE(littlefire @ Feb 8 2024, 04:21 PM) If you want longevity, just continue either Primacy or UC series. I got 1 salesman friend which always travel between northern to central area and feedback to me the old UC6 tires he manage to hit 100k before change. FYI, he always travel on highways & rotate the tires every 10k. Wahh serious meh can last tht long, mine 25k-30k km less than 3mm |

As long as shelf life not more than 4 yrs stock for u to use another 2-3 yrs oklaI heard if tire is too new there will be problem, should I be concerned very much? Should I drive less before the tires 3 months old or I am being paranoid ? |

QUOTE(icebryanchan @ May 15 2024, 05:35 PM) My concern is indeed it being "too new". Some people said new tire takes 3 months to have their rubber and chemical to stabilize, that's why I worried now Wont la icebryanchan liked this post

QUOTE(amscouzach57 @ Jul 9 2024, 08:47 PM) I give you a few examples. Take it with a pinch of salt as I was using VP3. VP4 should have a slight improvement over VP3: Yeah been using 18" Vp3 2x n yea cant complaint much as it its worth it n not bad on dry,yes wet only setback.1. Tire spin from stop & go, on wet road. 2. When cornering, even during not so high speed between 60~80 km/h, there were incidences of tailspin (oversteer) on wet roads. If you do high speed cornering, for sure gonna have oversteer. 3. High risk of aquaplaning when drive over puddles. 4. Very noisy tire. Slow or fast. The faster you go, the higher the noise. One of my cars are still using this tire. 235/50R18. Only 14k km driven with this tire. At the moment, this tire really limits the enjoyment of driving that car. I have to keep using this tire until botak or until I cannot tahan anymore. Decision is up to you. You can try experience yourself. For me, I will not be not using this tire brand series anymore. Ive changed tyres yearly, been using many types. I guess u need high end type then, like Ps4/5 to suit ur type. Even when I use pS4 also spin, but better in wet of course. |

QUOTE(gerald7 @ Jul 11 2024, 03:38 PM) aduh.... Need some km to scrub off the new tyres layer 1st. Its not so much of comfort tyre so expect some noise for the VPsunfortunately last nite I had a tire puncture, so this morning pasang the VP4 already. going from 45 to 50, cornering feels a bit spongy, esp if do sudden movements. Not liking that. But can adjust driving style, so far no rain yet. Definitely cant spirited drive like before, need to dial down slightly. road noise, feels like not much improvement over my 7 year old rubbers. But new rubbers sure absorb road pimples better. gerald7 liked this post

QUOTE(gerald7 @ Jul 15 2024, 12:59 PM) So after a few days of driving with some wet stints, its obvious going down from 215/45 to 205/50 has a big impact on the limits of cornering and aggressiveness of switching directions. Needed some time to re-wire my brain to the new tires. Slow~ slow~ granted I'm not a performance type or driver, just used to the earlier profile for 7 years so its engrained into the butt dyno. Grip is good enough for my car. Didn't expect much more. Envy u guys can last past 3yrs .And the noise seem to have gotten less than earlier. As expected, 50's absorbs the road surfaces better. So, so far everything seems to be within expectations. Hopefully can last at least for the next 5 years. amscouzach57 and gerald7 liked this post

QUOTE(littlefire @ Oct 28 2024, 09:30 AM) It is a fact PS4 perform more better, PS5 only good in better tread wear but because of this the traction performance drop. Ps4 now also no more, been using it till now but femes fr peel off chunksIf you want lower budget tyres go for middle range tyres like Falken FK520, Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3, Maxxis Victra Sport or Giti Sport S2 |

QUOTE(dino89 @ Dec 11 2024, 06:08 PM) Want to ask, any feedback for 15 inch Kumho Ecsta PS31 tires? Crappy, mine peeled/chipped off like PS4 after using less than 7mthsHow is the noise level and wet braking? If lets say compared to UC7 (i know is summer tire comparing to UHP tire) how is the noise level? I assume the wet braking shuld be better than UC7 la |
