Tuan, is nitrogen filling really necessary? because normally if compressed air from compressor, it will have alot moisture in it because if u compress the air the water vapour also together compress baased on the volume of air compressed. Im thinking since nitrogen filling very fussy need to go to workshop for topup, maybe use those portable type, but now worry about this moisture which may attack the rubber.

QUOTE(littlefire @ Mar 16 2023, 03:17 PM) Nexen what model? If you ask me the Korean brand is more reputable in international market compare to any China brand. If die die want to use China brand, Westlake is famous for cheap performance tires. they said nexen no size for my tire. so have to go for china brand lol. Ok noted, cos lingloong is bnd3 cheaper, probably just go for westlake. thanks. if nexen can comparable to michelin? or same level toyo tires those?

Just received the RM100 yesterday in my tng. Don have hankook in miri sarawak 😂 and brunei also. I would take hankook also if available..

QUOTE(amscouzach57 @ Jul 20 2023, 05:43 PM) They last longer than rubber valves. Normally the rubber valves get hardened over time & tend to get torn whenever you change tires. Metal valves you do not need to change it everytime you change tires. After a few sets of tire change, you only need to change the seals around the valves. sometimes u change tyre they no change valve, i kenak before when pump tire the valve broke off 😅

Hi guys, my stock tire michelin ps4 i just notice the sidewall i believe is the rim protector got like side cut macam peel like tat, is it not too much of a concern? 235/40/r18 size..
Found same damage at front same side actually ran into kerb, but checked online said that is rim protector so not too much of a concern unless it is bulged or can see chords.. This post has been edited by ben3003: Nov 14 2023, 07:55 PM

Found same damage at front same side actually ran into kerb, but checked online said that is rim protector so not too much of a concern unless it is bulged or can see chords.. can anyone help with this? should i just keep driving and check with tire shop later? cos if wan change 2 tire very costly almost 2k Tried pull the flap abit it looks like this
and wanna ask for advise also, since i still have 2 PS4's is in good condition, if i change both 2 to front, then back tire i use other cheaper brand, is it okay like tat? This post has been edited by ben3003: Nov 15 2023, 10:35 AM

QUOTE(littlefire @ Nov 15 2023, 11:14 AM) That is just a bit of rubber, did you see any metal or other material color in it? If no, means it is not deep enough. Last time 1 of my tires also encouter similar issue, i go to 1 honest tire shop he gave me 1 superglue and tell me glue own self.. Used until low treads and change also no issue. ok thanks for the honest opinion as well. i don dare open the flap more worry will tear deeper haha, so far see like is whitish most likely is due to the cement from kerb/rock. I asked my regular tyre shop boss, he said similar thing that it is normal scrapping and as long as no bulging then tire wont suddenly burst. Order rubber glue from shopee, probably just to make it look less flappy lol. heard somewhere said superglue not good for rubber maybe will harden or wat haha.

QUOTE(epjx31 @ Nov 16 2023, 01:10 PM) Hi, its seems there is damage on your protection rib. Do you still see rubber after the cut? If so its ok, but would advise to monitor the tire closely and just take more care for this tire. No need to change for the moment. Regarding your 2nd question. you can change whatever brand of tires as long they fit the size & load index but don't forget you will also get the average performance of all your 4 tires. So you will definitely compromise your braking performances. Ya so far i see is all rubber. Probably just keep monitor everytime i plan for long trip back to my hometown which is 1hour drive. But i normally drive 90-100 only and road is not highway so ok la. Cos i dont think i can afford PS5, those are selling rm1060 here and no stock 😂 probably get toyo cr1 around rm460. QUOTE(amscouzach57 @ Jan 24 2024, 05:37 AM) Has the tire been losing any pressure since then? Also, where is the location of the puncture? Middle of the tread but is at the groove. U mean after using string seal plug? Just did it ytd, actually the screw stuck inside for quite some time but the pressure before sealing is 30psi, normal is 36psi. Gonna monitor for 1-2weeks

QUOTE(emilyngsc @ Feb 21 2024, 03:27 PM) No budget, but doesn’t want overrated Michelin. Thanks for the recommendation. Any reason behind you’ve chosen CR1? michelin actually can last twice compare normal tires. is like normal tire after 2 years u start to have lousier traction, noise bla bla. but if michelin, after 2 years the traction still okay. i mean if u lanjak like mad, then normal tires will wear and get lousier faster than michelin. that is i can feel la, my primacy 3st after 4 years road noise become bad, but my viking maybe 2-3years already can feel no traction and very bad road noise. this is wat i personally feel. but some ppl say, they can change tire every two year fresh tire better, so can go for cheaper lo.

I will try consider Michelin. tat time was michelin 3st not sure the recent quality. But i changed to cheap tire cos i see no value to use good tire on my old car.

QUOTE(xyz_cityhunter @ Feb 21 2024, 09:41 PM) Will see how it goes, don't really travel a lot as my 4.5years old Myvi also still only travel below 30k KM total distance as of now... I changed the tyre (Original Goodyear tyre, Triple Max Assurance I believe) because the contact surface of the tyre is having some crack and dents, photo from online which looks similar but mine like having bigger patch of dents... tire good brand lousy brand normally after 5 years should be time to change drive or no drive, the rubber harden and thats y have all those crack dents bla bla, cos become like brittle. So if car no much drive, i think just slap on normal tire

QUOTE(littlefire @ Jan 9 2025, 09:40 AM) You want to use in what car? If normal road car, foam only will add weight and will not help much If EV, yes this will help reduce a lot of road noise as EV itself already very quiet and any additional road noise with be annoying. If die die want to buy, just go aliexpress or taobao and buy. Plenty of cheap tire foams from China as nowadays their EV is quite a lot otr. Got this kind of thing ka?
