After you register your Xperia 1 VI, you have to manual go to Sony Reward Profile Page and update your Address Details there, I think you miss out this step, so they call you to work on it. Not sure if there will be a delay for everyone, but at least from your experience they are processing the Delivery now.

I have talk to the Sony Customer Service before, they mentioned the Sony Style Case will be deliver after 10 August, within 60 days after you have register your Xperia 1 VI to the Sony Reward page, there will be no notification when the Style Case is being deliver so we have to wait for Courier call/sms when they are delivering it.

I registered on 13 July and Update the Sony Reward Profile Address immediately, I believe for those who do the same by right will get the Style Case soon. But there no way to confirm this though.

Currently I just using the free transparent case, the experience really feel cheap, but at least it does it job well to protect the phone so far. I will just wait for the Sony Style Case for now, because I believe the Style Case will definitely feel much more better than any 3rd Party Case.

thanks for update.. i did updated my address at sonyrewards there since this is not my first time purchase on Sony product.. hmm i guess cover is getting from HK/SG to fulfill the preorder buyer.. at least it is good news where sony did tried and reach out to customer and plan to ship the cover soon.. expecting it in this month.. i get black VI, so hopefully get black color.. last year i heard some khaki color user get black case.. which is something i want to avoid.. and get black color will not trigger my wife to know i had changed my phone.. =)

Okay, Received the Xperia 1 VI Style Cover with Stand! Black Color as the Phone Color I bought, finally can toss away the cheap transparent case! Really love the side of the cover not complete enclosed, so that I still can feel the phone side texture feeling, the back of the case texture also feel really nice.

Now the phone can stay flat on surface unlike the transparent case where the camera area have little bump to ensure camera lens will have some distance from the laying surface. This could be good for allowing the phone completely lay on table surface in a stable manner, but might have some risk to the camera lens as there is no bump to put some distance between the lens and the surfaces, so have to make sure the surface u lay your phone is complete smooth and safe, let say if u lay ur phone on rough ground, there is a high change ur lens will be scratched.

By the way, really love the Ring and the Strings attach to the case, it feel so safe when taking camera in high ground area (such as bridge, balcony, high building, etc). the Stand built-in also very useful for me, best free phone case i ever get so far, really glad I go for the early bird promotion, not sure current extended early bird promotion still can get the Free Style Case or nt, if yes, no doubt this early bird is really worth it.

p.s. Really glad i didnt go for the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, after checking the official announcement of spec and price in official google Malaysia, Xperia 1 VI is cheaper than Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and better in most aspect.

So, I went ahead and got the HK version of 1 VI. Ordered the black one but they shipped me the khaki green.😂. Too troublesome to return so they gave me rm40 rebate. Overall cost 4830 after the rebate. Looks like the price drops quite fast.

Before switching over, I tried again with pixel ims and Shizuku on my 1 V on maxis. Still no wifi calling although the toggle is enabled and phone info shows that wifi calling is provisioned.

Anyway, will switch over to 1 VI and test it out. Hopefully it is as the other forumer had commented that it works for him.. fingers crossed.

Mostly HK and TW can renew Telco package so they earned the difference. Eventually it's new.. so quite worth it.. recently Lazada offer 10% became 5.8k+ with headset. Quite worth the deal too..

Hmm I tried. It do have the wifi calling setting however it's not working. I don't see wifi calling icon on status bar.. report if u can.. wish to know too. But I'm not so required as my area full with 5G signal. VoLTE is fine for me..

The risk of getting Xperia 1 Vi from non-Malaysia Sony Store is the warranty claim, i only notice a very very minor and non-obvious defect (you can check past message in this post, i have share the manufacture defect in details),

The warranty claim only take 1 week to fix the issue with no charge involved. Sony Malaysia Service Center don't accept repair service for Non-Malaysia Xperia too, so if your phone is out of warranty you required some fix service such as Screen Replacement due to Crack/Deadpixel/faulty, etc, you may having a hard time to find 3rd party phone fixer to fix it with non-official spare part.

But yea, affordable price come with some risk, you just having Color Error for RM4830 which is consider worth it.

Btw does HK Xperia 1 VI come with some 'Chinese' pre installed apps? does it have built-in Google Playstore?


I can't believe Official Malaysia Sony in Lazada have discount unyol RM5.8k, can you share screenshot or link? I try to find from my lazada app Sony Official Malaysia don't have such promotion to allow you to make it RM5.8k yet still can get the free WH-1000XM5 Headphone, Temper glass and Transparent Case.

Fyi the wifi calling can be quite choosy, doesn't work in my office wifi but works in my house, sometimes need to toggle and untoggle wifi calling to get it work again.

hmmmmm seem like there's good and bad, Because personally i put all my cash in asnb even the sold WH-1000XM5 and get rm1080 cash also put to saving then monthly only pay around RM270 😂

lazada is really have a great deal on 8.8, but the later u get the Wh-1000XM headphone, the harder u can find a buyer who willing to pay a good price, but let's say you sell it with RM900 u still able to make it total RM4900.

Let me do a quick update.
Setup my 1 VI. Vowifi works after setting up with pixel ims.🎉
What is more surprising is the wifi reception is better compared to my 1 V. At least in places where I usually couldn't get a signal now I at least have could, albeit just roughly 2 bars of wifi reception.

haha its okay.. anyways we still getting good deals.. for those who need whole set bundle with headset, to me it is a good deal.. XM5 usually at 1399 and with some promo 1.2k is min bet for new one.. i tried before and i felt it is less bass than XM3, XM4.. so i didnt proceed.. i did tried again recently on some shops with demo unit & updated software.. i am still prefer XM4 unit than XM5.. ANC not so big difference to me although many reviewers said it is the best.. microphone also not that big improvements.. so i just skip XM5 and somehow it is 2 years old products.. my XM3 & XM4 still going strong.. in fact, i did prefer ULT wear (Extra bass series) headset more than XM5.. XM6 should be coming soon in my opinion.. sell XM5 and wait newer product is better option..

flagship phone + headset.. 6k consider a good deal.. a full package.. too bad no longer have smartwatch from sony.. but recently i am spotted to one budget watch from NOTHING.. CMF watch pro 2.. waiting it to arrive cause miss out first batch preorder..

I am on maxis. I followed the same steps on my 1V but it didn't work. On 1VI it works. I have no idea why it is so. If you see the icon then it's enabled and supported by the phone/Telco.

Don't see any changes. Usually monthly Android security update only. I saw Android security update changed to 1Aug

For those getting the 1 mk VI, be aware there might be screen issues. It's been highlighted on a Japanese forum and also reddit.
