Haha you wanna buy mine with discount? It remained unused.

By the way I am surprised that they still do the bundle, provided it's earphone bundle which actually I quite like.

Nope. Hahaha. I have same experience back in 1 IV. The stand case is ok. But the structure of the stand connection is fragile. Unless they use aluminum or steel in future. Recycle materials is shit..

Ya man.. but just removed the headset or earbud from preorder. I guess first time ever go this low for Xperia 1 series after open sales in M'sia..

For Xperia lover it's good buy. For most people, they might feel it is outdated soon as 8 gen elite is coming soon. 8 gen 3 is soon to be out. However, 8g3 still perform very well and Xperia 1 VI really can achieve 2 days battery life for moderate user..

4.5k basically not much losing money.. but depending on which set, HK/TW usually can go very cheap as they got some telco packages..
MY set then quite worth for below 4.5k.. hmm 6499 excluding headset during preorder or whatsoever, hp price alone should be around 5k and below.. 11.11 sales with lazada discounts can go as long as 4.2k or 4.3k++ new sealed unit from SONY Msia, as that time 4999 RRP without much free gifts..

anyways, dont think about it once u have it.. just enjoy the phone will do..

hmm XQ-EC72 is SEA version not HK version.. so it is SEA set.. should be msia one i believe.. check your box got any sticker from SONY MALAYSIA..

dont look at the signal icon on top of notification bar.. but look at signal strength in setting menu.. cause every phone have different presentation of signal strength.. but in the end signal might be the same..

the only one that very strong in reception is honor magic series that used before.. xiaomi, i dont recall very strong based on experience..

To check your SIM signal strength, go to Settings > ABout Phone > Click on your SIM STATUS. u will see your phone number, signal strength, network type etc..

RSRP Signal strength
>= -80 dBm Excellent
-80 dBm to -90 dBm Good
-90 dBm to -100 dBm Fair to poor
<= -100 dBm Poor

I checked my device that currently on hands, under same telco (cause family plan), my result as below
samsung -104 dBm 36 ASU
Xperia -106 dBm 28 ASU

both showing as 2/4 bars (xperia showing half - actually there are 4 bars in total, same as Samsung S24)

I have to say, there nothing much interesting from this update. I prefer using Work profile through Island (Oasis Feng), it gives more control, but nevertheless private space gives one additional sandbox space if needed.

As for Pro-video, I can pretty much say it's pretty useless. I can achieve most of the same thing using the regular Video function, except for ISO adjustment while I lost the ability to zoom beyond the lens I initially chosen when recording the started and I can't toggle auto shutter speed and manual on recording started either, no mic volume adjustment on the fly. All these functions that I mentioned, can be done using regular video function (except mic adjustment) and were certainly available in Videography Pro app on Xperia 1V, such a half hearted attempt by Sony. What's with the stupid PSM selection in video mode? Why emulate something like this from Alpha? The video pro app was inspired by their cineline, they should just keep that, no idea why they listened to those stupid comments from shitty YouTuber (mkbhd ahem)who never uses the phone after their video "review". Should have stuck with your core users.

i have my work profile mainly for work purpose.. then additional private space hmm really nothing much special.. but good also as i can add additional gmail account there.. so far so good.. and it is stock android feature which is good thing..

You are right.. Not much difference between video pro vsnormal video mode. As normal video mode also can do mic adjustment for stereo or rear priority in MENU setting.. the only difference in video pro, we could specifiy the shutterspeed/ISO/White balance (custom set at specific kelvin or capture white paper as starting point)..Video Pro also do have audio level indicator now.. but it is still missing mic audio level adjustment in previous video pro app.. as we may set input volume and output volume in the past..
Mic level indicator is useful especially if we connect to vlog monitor.. earlier version we couldnt see it through monitor and now we could see it as previous VIDEO PRO app in previous generation..

i still looking forward to AEL in photo pro mode and burst mode in Normal Photo mode.. AEL is most common feature i used as i could maintain the consistency of photos in same environment.

To be fair I've been following Sony since the Xperia Pro-i series, and very seldom they discount their phone. This actually first time I see they discount.

The phone keep bootloop for a good 10 mins to settle in homescreen

I tried use Companion app to repair which wiped out all data, but still facing this issue.

when it manage to start up, I can use it for days where I tot it is becoming normal, going for a restart then the bootloop happened again.. hardware issue?
