eh.. original i think it is not mirror.. if you need mirror then have to go to selfie app through 'More' option there.. over there is an option to enable/disable mirror mode.. basic mode no option can change.. once you capture, software will auto help to flip the picture.. it is different in that camera preview window

I couldnt find the option to enable or disable. Mine is a X1V. I like the selfie pic as preview..

oh.. Xperia 1 V retain only Slow Motion & Panorama at More section at Basic Mode.. Previous do have Portrait Selfie & Creative effect.. the one i referring is Portrait Selfie which no longer available now at 1V..

in fact, photo outcome should be same as in real life.. in real life, left hand up, camera preview show as right hand, output = left hand.. basically output = what other people see us..

too bad, there is no option to enable/disable mirror mode.. then only think you could do is go to Photos app, edit > flip the image..

Well, I guess I have no choice but to accept it. Hahha.

A little update on the gimbal situation.

I got the gimbal, but its native app has a nasty bug.
Apparently the 60fps video capture, and SlowMotion funtion do not work in any resolution on the Xperia 1 V,
yet, both work well on Xperia 1 III.

I received the free Sony kickstand case that eligible buyers will get during the pre-order period delivered today roughly about 4+ weeks after submitting the online form to redeem it.

Sidenote, since the Sony 5 V model was released, the media/influencers have shared that Sony will import the Video creator app, bokeh and 2 x zoom (48mm equivalent) features to the 1 V in the next major update (potentially the android 14 update). We'll see if this is true.

video creator app there is signed apk available.. i tested in previous models and it is working fine.. really impressive as it could support 4K 120FPS straight by adjust speed.. can export up to 4K 60FPS.. frame rate 24, 30, 60..

I installed shizuku and enable vowifi with pixel IMS on 1V, but sadly still not supported by Digi. My past experience when asking Digi to add the device support all they mentioned is please check back again in the future if device will be supported. Worst, they even mentioned if volte is supported then vowifi should be too. (Volte is working on 1V with Digi). So puzzling..

ops too bad. those tech support cant give u an exact answer.. the best answer is there after u have tested all these..

no news in msia.. but sony SG did announced price & freebies.. linkbud S + 5 V ori case.. you may take this as part of your consideration if you are really waiting for it..

I saw in lazada and shoppee xperia 1 V hk set only 4700, why so much price diff? Any restriction on apps or feature for hk set?

In HK, mobile phones are tax free. Mine is HK set too but I never tested the HK firmware as I went straight to SEA firmware. Flashed using newsflasher and xperifirm.

no difference indirectly.. but they also get preorder gifts and they can resell those gifts.. example WH-1000XM5 & some other small gifts.. if u plan to have a set of SONY experience, it is worth to get on it.. likely the same..

te only difference is that HK set is not serviceable by local Sony service centre and warranty reserve is not done by local company.. they didnt do inter-co cross charge thingy.. so bear your own risk..
