QUOTE(home_made_fp2 @ Oct 10 2023, 02:09 PM) Because till now I still haven't fully utilise all 256gb on my 1 II. So I don't think I need 512gb yet.As for that question, it depends on your needs. 1) If you have the budget and want the best speed, then go for 512gb. 2) If you want to save money and prefer portability, then you can go for 256gb plus sd card. 3) Of course if you have both the budget and prefer portability, then you can go for 512gb plus sd card. * Portability as in you can take out the sd card and plug into desktop laptop to edit photo video, backup, etc... The Microsdcard slot is a blessing.
During my recent photoshoot trip. I can backup my photos from my Mirroless camera to the phone with a USB-C to OTG drive easily, then upload them to an online storage device for more backup. Some of the photos I shot with Xperia 1 V, no color editing, minor cropping on some. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() No over-sharpening, no over-saturated color, just the way a photographer would like. QUOTE(kwm168 @ Oct 11 2023, 11:00 AM) I thought so as well until I stumble upon this post in Reddit. impossible.. hahaha.. you can transfer into SD card after that.. but VideoPro software is not allow you to choose 4K120FPS when your storage option choose SD card.. so i doubt his statement in reddit.. Apparently someone manage to record 4k120 in SD card using a Samsung EVO 256 V30 As for the other question, unless you're using JP or Euro set, then you can use eSIM so can 2 Telco plus SD card too =) myself using SanDisk Extreme Pro.. it is not limited by card itself, but Sony Software itself.. and true, SD card reading speed is not fast enough.. we may just proceed with Extreme is fine as it worked well to record 4K30FPS/24FPS in microSD.. not necessary to go with ExtremePro or any equivalent.. my personal recommendation, split your microSD card in small size like 32gb/64gb instead of going 256/512gb/1TB... you can save the vacation trip by each microSD card after that for better data management.. |

I wish to share the difference between the RAW vs JPEG by recent Xperia devices through photo pro app.. whether should we get RAW instead of JPEG.. For normal users and scene, you not necessary have to go with RAW. As it taken your storage space and you need to perform some editing.. When you need to consider using RAW.. when you are taking landscape, high contrast or strong backlight scenes.. which you wish to retrieve some extra details through post editing.. I put some example over here so you could see the purpose of RAW . As i having overexposed sky over here and i try to reduce highlight and retrieve the sky/cloud details.. but no matter how i edit in jpeg, it wont retrieve much details.. same setting of adjustment.. and RAW can see the details of clouds/mist over the mountain there.. also the transition or reveal of far mountain on left side, the color transition by editing RAW photo is much natural than the one edited thru JPEG.. it may be subtle for some people.. but it also might be crucial for certain scenarios.. the good thing about JPEG in xperia is that there is a layer of noise reduction during JPEG compression in Xperia.. it looks sharper, lesser noise compared to RAW photo.. but we can sharpen the RAW photo thru post editting as well.. conclusion, go with basic mode with HDR enabled is sufficient for most people.. only turn to RAW & JPEG when you think it is important to have those and you could do fancy editting after that.. my final output after post editing This post has been edited by ChuanHong: Oct 11 2023, 03:03 PM Attached thumbnail(s) Stinky Fart liked this post
