If you're using stock router, the username password should be on the sticker

There should be a sticker somewhere on your router if it is the stock router from TM.

Is that normal?

It's not the matter of public or private IP. If the content is block in M'sia then use VPN to bypass it.

Oh boy this not music to my ears. I’m waiting for my Unifi to be installed these few days. May I know which country do you normally use for your VPN? Reason for asking, Netflix also gives me problems when I use VPN to stream. They sometimes don’t load the movies correctly. If I was to use Malaysia VPN will the content be blocked too? Any idea? TQ

Presently I’m using mobile internet so I don’t have problems with Netflix.

Actually, it's not blocked, as i have confirmed with one of the netflix customer representative that the show is available in Malaysia. They have no idea how does it happen too. Yea, i did think about the VPN method, but my family watch the show on the Smart TV, so i have no idea how to install a VPN on the TV?

Could anyone shed some light on how to solve this issue?

Edited: Because If my fam were to watch that specific show, i had to restart the router everytime they need to watch it. So it would be a hassle, it does not have this issue previously till recently.

Your netflix account is bought or register yourself?
(Netflix had a new rule set in 2022,that some countries' NF account is not allowed to use in specific countries(HK,and somemore in southeast asia)
Seems like due to too many people using sharing account in those countries.

I think yours is in this case,so u need to find another account that supported will works in worldwide area.
The reason why i know is because 2month ago i was going to bought a new NF account in taobao,but the seller told me their account is not working for some countries anymore.

Just ask the seller before rent a new NF account to ensure it will work in Malaysia.
(The working account price is 50% about more then those countries-block account - in my memories Turkey registered account not working anymore)

You are on public IP, and your Netflix account is registered in the official Netflix website. Shouldn’t be an issue. Did you try with other devices to see if you have the same issue?

Yes, its the same with devices log into my Netflix account. However, i have no issues using mobile data.

My family subscribe to Surfshark VPN and I got it installed on my smart tv. You can go your smart tv Google store search and download the app to subscribe if you are interested. I’m assuming you have a Android tv.
