Just got message from unifi they offering Disney+ Hotstar for next month but the t&c not clear enough if its free or need to extend contract?

Anyone know about this?
*
Looks like no contract.

New services quite ok:
MySing – to be launched 1st May 2022
Disney+ Hotstar – to be launched 17th May 2022
beIN SPORTS CONNECT – to be launched 17th May 2022
SPOTV NOW – to be launched 17th May 2022
WeTV

Hope one of the sports channels got F1.

If upgraded to this means losing iQiYi?
*
Ya, if I understand correctly, can only choose 1 for free. My wife watches iQIYI a lot. 😅

Meaning all those listed are free for Ultimate subcriber? Or only Disney?
*
Unfortunately no, can only choose one which will be free.

QUOTE(hurricane21 @ Apr 23 2022, 05:37 PM)
Is the content good?

Never tried before Disney+
*
Quite good. I already got Disney+ so was thinking of one of the sports channels but probably have to stick with iQiyi for the benefit of other family members.

Alright I'm in! What should I do?

Edited: I can't find the WAN page that you mentioned, but i can see that my IP address starts with 203.xxx.

Is that normal?
*
Looks like you have a public IP. What's the label for 203.x.x.x?

what do you mean by label? And is it common to have a public IP?
*
Let me rephrase the question. What is 203.x.x.x.x ? A screenshot may help if you're not sure.

You are more than stupid enough to sign up for something which already lock you down with a trap for 24 months in advance. It's no different that signing up and agreeing to pay 24 months straight with yourself forfeiting to threaten your ISP to improve or mend things if you're dissatisfied with it.

This type of consumer most scam or corrupted companies would dream of.

Why call other ppl stupid? Look in the mirror first.

What? U seriously encountered monthly internet breakdown? I think that only happen to me during jaring time lol. Either that or ur area memang that suck. Lol

But then becoz of this reason r u really stupid enuf to terminate it and pay penalty or u will wait until contract finish only u terminate? That y i seriously cant brain why ppl would like to terminate during contract. Seriously no point doing so.
*
No need to call him stupid. The penyu guy isn't happy with Unifi. Makes one wonder why he hasn't switched. If you are ok with their service, feel free to extend your contract. I'm also on RM159 800Mbps and always waiting for better alternatives. I'm out of contract too. Personally I wouldn't get the UPB but that's just me.

Dude, did you read his earlier post before me? I refrained earlier from using rude words but you know do as Romans do. Stupid is not a foul word anyway.

By the way you're his dupe account or good friend?
*
Yes, I did. I may be a dupe. I may be a good friend. You are what you are.

I subscribed to TIME. You can see my posts in the TIME thread. They have their own problems. In any case, to most ppl here, TIME doesn't exist. Their coverage is extremely low.

What is your average download/upload speed for 800Mbps?

Mine speedtest about 400Mb Download and 200Mb Upload.

Is it normal?
*
For Speedtest to local servers, you should get full 800/200 on wired LAN. Wifi will vary.

Modem is their responsibility. By right, you won't get charged.
*
Yeah, that's my experience too. So far, I've had my modem replaced twice a few years ago and wasn't charged in both cases. Read here last month that someone got charged. Wondering if something has changed.

QUOTE(5p3ak @ May 1 2022, 08:39 PM)
nope but gotta wait for the bill to be sure

Thanks for taking your time to answer my question. As I’m new to Unifi, I just got my Unifi installed a few days ago and I’m changing the Unifi router to DECO HC4(M4) which I just bought. OTW. I just want to prepare for the future as I’m told TM provide poor quality devices.

I have gotten my PPPoE from the installer as advice by members here and will change it when I received the new mesh routers. Thank you again.
*
Keep the original TM router. If TM come again in the future to service the modem, just connect back their router. If they see a 3rd party router, they might use that as a reason to charge you.

I don't think quality is a problem. I've only changed modems twice in 10 yrs. All were Huaweis. Once because the PSU rosak. 2nd wais because of speed upgrade.

anyone can try to check is your unifi also facing same issue?
*
Here no problem. Unifi 800Mbps. Doesn't look like MCMC block.

Same error as you on Digi mobile.

Reinstalled google chrome, install firefox, 12.15pm first try can, but just now 2.35pm second try was refused...
my router followed the original IPV4 & IPV6 config, should i change some setting?
*
twice1020 found the prob, Digi DNS is returning 127.0.0.1 for linktr.ee. Just change your DNS, if you can, to google or something and you should be ok.

hi guys.. I am having this issue where I am disconnected from Unifi internet. I need to restart the modem and router, then the internet comes back, but after 2-3 hours, it get disconnected again. Then I need to turn off the power to my modem and router for 15 minutes, turn it on again, then the internet comes back for 2-3 hours, then disconnect again. Anyone facing such issues ?
*
Probably your router, try off/on just the router next time. Seems unlikely that both are causing the problem. If router, buy new router. If modem, can call TM to replace.
