QUOTE(Khriss @ Nov 14 2010, 11:47 PM) hey guys ~ Not being racist also. But majority are chinese for malaysians.and foreigners middle east and blacks.broken english is the order here and most of them speak in mandarin.not to be racist, but how is the racial distribution in ucsi? actually im asking coz im a very talkative (but only english and malay) speaker and i get annoyed if i cant talk just coz everyone else is speaking chinese nonstop. so i guess the more appropriate question would be how is the % of english speakers in UCSI that frequently speak in english? |

Most of the Chinese students speak Mandarin, I think in most universities including IPTAs. Not many have a good command of English and it is to be expected that the English proficiency will drop further unless more drastic changes takes place.

yes its recognised by the BEM for the E & E & mechanical.
chemical engineering hasn't produced their first batch yet so i am not sure about it. yeah you can always credit transfer to their partner uni or a uni of your choice but it also depends on your results. |

Hi, I beg to differ regarding the language spoken in UCSI. I'm a final year in this university so I know more or less of the culture in UCSI. Most of the student here speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and English. But not all of them are bad in English. There are students who speaks good english. It really depends on which group or friends you mix with. Some will be good in Mandarin but some will be good in English. In my group, all of us speak good english with mixture of cantonese and mandarin. |
