I think you need to check for yourself. In my experience it depends heavily on your location e.g. indoors, outdoor, any high rise buildings between you & the 5G tower.

At my house, moving from 1 room to another make the speed change wildly & sometime loose the 5g connection.

You can get the prepaid plan & test drive first.

Anyone here with china set phones can detect 5G network ?

I have a Xiaomi 12s ultra and upgraded my maxis postplan today, only to find out that my phone can't detect Malaysia 5g network

That is why need to buy local sets … those foreign phone esp china and US set are custom for the country operators, when brought outside wont work …

Previously some China sets cannot even detect Malaysia 4G... Need to set as "roaming" then only can use in Malaysia with Malaysia Telco sim 😁

Lesson learned
No more buying China Set phone

Only buy China brand for Malaysia market sets with local warranty 👍 Price little higher but it's worth it 😁

buy other countries set is ok, make sure it is compatible with Malaysia 5G band..

or you have to wait DNB deploy it's SA network then you possible to have 5G access

The 5G is zapping up my iphone 12 pro batt like crazy and can't even last me a day of normal usage compare to 4G. Any iphone 13/14 has the same issue? I looking forward to upgrade soon.

5G tower has been installed at Pulau Ketam port but not activated yet. Definitely a game changer in the future

Good luck with Android running phone.... Sure battery drain even faster since the phone is not efficient like iPhone....
