Spotted a DNB 5G Indoor cell at U Mobile Berjaya Times Square store
Uses ZTE QCell series which same as the other DNB indoor cell
But surprisingly this indoor cell only have 502 18 (UMB) in the PLMN list , other telco can't register on this cell

It should be under Telephony tab > BandMode > choose which SIM slot

To lock to LTE B28 only, untick LTE B1/B3/B7/B8 (Celcom/Digi/Maxis/U Mobile) or LTE B5/B38/B40 (unifi) or LTE B20/38/40/41 (Yes) and tap on "Set" at bottom left. Always remember to "Reset to default" as some phones doesn't reset the lock even after rebooting
*
For testing is okay but once disable all the LTE bands, when you move out of the 4G B28 coverage, you will only get 2G.

By right we do not need to force to B28 to get 5G, they should have mechanism to put it as priority if in coverage or allowed by Telco.

Umobile has partnered with ZTE on 5G R&D even before DNB was launched.

The ones at Berjaya Times Square are probably their own equipment for testing..

Digi will be charging its users additional RM10 if they opt to have 5G service... Is this due to addtional cost needed to pay DNB?

I remember back from 2G to 3G to 4G, we don't have to pay additional fee to gain access for the updated speed.

I don't think so...

- eNB 7xxxxx = definitely DNB
- B28 LTE on same freq range as DNB one (EARFCN 9310).... if this is U Mobile's own network, why they didn't use their existing LTE B1/3/7/8 as anchor band? That way 5G devices lacking B28 (like chinese variant of Xiaomis) can connect to 5G
- U Mobile are not allowed (yet) to deploy own 5G
- Plus it's covering only their store

That's why I said this is bespoke product from DNB

That app (NSG) always shows "testing", no matter whether the phone & SIM card can connect to particular cell or not

Limited service is there because the phone is connecting to the cell without valid SIM card (in this case not using U Mobile SIM card)

Speaking about Chinese variants..... afaik

Xiaomi = Mix Fold series only, full B28(a/b) support
OnePlus = current Chinese lineups supports LTE B28a only
Oppo = some of the current Chinese lineup has full B28(a/b), some has B28a only
vivo = current Chinese lineups supports LTE B28a only it seems
ulefone = full B28(a/b) support
realme = current Chinese lineups supports B28a only

iinm DNB uses B28a

The DNB code is because they need to merge and integrate their own eNode solution with DNB for commercial linkups.

BTS is their HQ. main store and building, why not if the ZTE test equipments/infra have already been setup pre-existingly before DNB contracted Ericsson within the premise?

B28 is LTE, if it is NR it should be called as n28

btw malaysia band 28 is used for NR anchor band and it is LTE.
it is normally less jam than other telco LTE band because it has the exclusive purpose unless you lock to this band.

Then it is not possible for @Sam Leong to get 1.3Gbps on locked B28 band. Must meant locked to N28 then.

it must be connected to n78 as well, it has 100Mhz bandwidth

one or two year ago DNB 5G was exclusively to Yes and it was very easy to have 1.5Gbps speed test

What i mean is all the 5G ready devices inside the store are connected to the 5G indoor cell that only have 502 18 (UMB) inside their PLMN list
My unifi card can’t register on that cell after i locked to B28
