Uses ZTE QCell series which same as the other DNB indoor cell
But surprisingly this indoor cell only have 502 18 (UMB) in the PLMN list , other telco can't register on this cell

Unlimited 5G plan

QUOTE(luqman98x @ Jun 29 2023, 04:55 PM) It should be under Telephony tab > BandMode > choose which SIM slot For testing is okay but once disable all the LTE bands, when you move out of the 4G B28 coverage, you will only get 2G.To lock to LTE B28 only, untick LTE B1/B3/B7/B8 (Celcom/Digi/Maxis/U Mobile) or LTE B5/B38/B40 (unifi) or LTE B20/38/40/41 (Yes) and tap on "Set" at bottom left. Always remember to "Reset to default" as some phones doesn't reset the lock even after rebooting By right we do not need to force to B28 to get 5G, they should have mechanism to put it as priority if in coverage or allowed by Telco. |

Digi will be charging its users additional RM10 if they opt to have 5G service... Is this due to addtional cost needed to pay DNB?
I remember back from 2G to 3G to 4G, we don't have to pay additional fee to gain access for the updated speed. |

I don't think so...The ones at Berjaya Times Square are probably their own equipment for testing.. - eNB 7xxxxx = definitely DNB - B28 LTE on same freq range as DNB one (EARFCN 9310).... if this is U Mobile's own network, why they didn't use their existing LTE B1/3/7/8 as anchor band? That way 5G devices lacking B28 (like chinese variant of Xiaomis) can connect to 5G - U Mobile are not allowed (yet) to deploy own 5G - Plus it's covering only their store That's why I said this is bespoke product from DNB This post has been edited by luqman98x: Jul 2 2023, 08:54 AM |

QUOTE(4WD_er @ Jul 3 2023, 02:06 PM) B28 is LTE, if it is NR it should be called as n28btw malaysia band 28 is used for NR anchor band and it is LTE. it is normally less jam than other telco LTE band because it has the exclusive purpose unless you lock to this band. |
