I’m getting old, If Honda says more than 130k than for ANY version of Civic, then I’ll go with a Corolla / Cross haha.
*
I guess you may proceed to book a Corolla/cross then 🤣

I dare to bet that base price would be 125k+- and max would be 145k+- unless they managed to overcome chip shortages and the rising price of steel.
*
Hopefully 145k+- will come true.. im hope that's not gonna be more than that, because what they providing from the review of current media info is 18inch rim + ps4 tires man, this probably cost u few more k's, and if really come with bose sounds system? Omg i cant imagine it..

“Current” TCP already 18” PS4 bro @ 135k (after SST exemption). Without SST exemption 1.5TCP is 139k. B4 and after FC facelift was a 10k increment. So yes, expect it to go 140k+- WITH SST exemption.

Haha, my first car was a generation 1 CVCC...a hand me down from my parents...and then when I entered the workforce in 2006 it was my senior's FD that was the subject of everyone's envy...I told my friends I will buy it even second hand....
I suppose time has passed and opportunity didn't arise.

You get the picture that I am a fan. I will give it every single chance.

But alas, I fear that the Cross is the car I need, while the Civic is the car I want. And the Corolla is that ugly compromise of price, feature, spec, safety, space, reliability that I wish I don't have to take.

if u feel like wanna buy corolla
go n test drive vios highway up to 110km/h
and drive altis highway up to 110km/h

u would be shock that corolla didnt have extra space compare to vios
n tire noise suppression in vios is actually better than corolla

sorry, mention incorrect way. i mean ya for current tcp using 18' + ps4 too but i want to say is HM improving new civic by this way if exterior choose to build in bose system and rear air cond, the cost will be higher.

*for me this 2 are not my favorite so is fine tongue.gif

Some more as we known that inflation of economy, first of all tires in the market price getting expensive more and more those parts... i guess those car price will slightly increase on next year.

i sit in many vios up to 110km/h and also tested the corolla with just stock dunlop, didn't notice too much harshness at highway speeds. Maybe my existing cars are also noisy.

Overall I won't be surprised that the new Civic will be MORE expensive than the old one, but I will be very surprised if it decides to compete Mazda 3 instead of Toyota Corolla. Traditionally it has always been cheaper than the Corolla for same tier, and offered more kit at the same time. Nothing should limit it their ambitions or greed of course, just a matter of demand vs supply.

But yeah - The difference in space, is not a lot comparing vios to Corolla. The same can be true when comparing a City to Civic (There is a reason why those two B sedans sell so well).

That ps4 235/40/18 can get rm570+ at Oscar Bukit Kemuning. I had them twice now, bought at the same shop. Not very lasting but gripy

Corolla stock tyre is primacy 4 now, but the sound mad.gif
80km/h the tyre sound drone the whole cabin, aiks
there was a time where Corolla is the benchmark for c seg NVH, but not anymore despite toyota marketing say premium this n that

corolla used to be bigger than vios by a significant margin, come with adjustable reclining seat too,
but tnga change it all, bigger on the outside, much smaller on the inside, worst nvh but u get much much better safety and handling

I just checked with my SA that my previous "Ketam" booking will be converted for the new Civic.
When I told her do I need to update her the color and variant .. she said no need wor sweat.gif
She told me, we will be given approx 5 days to update on the color and variant.. while the delivery of car will continue from the previous queue.
Launching date given Feb or Mar.

Should i get the updated booking receipt ? hmm.gif sad.gif
Things mcm very vague and is this how it works?
Need some advise here~

this can only mean 2 things -

i) ur SA bullshitting you
ii) FE Civic price will be same as FC ketam (unlikely)

price is diff definitely but what i mean is the booking fee & queue.
does it make sense?

coz earlier on (Nov) I asked should i put another depo for the new civic .. she said honda not taking booking yet.
Today I asked my ketam how? then only she told me no stock d (obviously) dry.gif
When i reminded her about the conversion fr ketam to FE.. she just said yes..
And about the delivery, she just gv me a vague answer of following the current queue.
once sampai my turn, I"ll be given 5 days to chose the variant and color.. and maybe to update the loan and all..
All these in watsapp nia wor...

That's why I need advise should i walk in to get the revised receipt? notworthy.gif

most probably gua because corolla is better in engine noise suppression and windnoise
but because of poor tyre insulation the tyre noise drone the whole cabin thus i feel the nvh is down the drain

maybe he moore concern on engine noise so mazda 3 loose as mazda still like people heard the engine roaring

It’s pretty simple. Honda cannot meet your demand for ketam civic anymore. They’d still like to earn your money, so they holding on to your deposit.

Because they have not launched or finalise the spec and price for the new product there is really no use for either of you to revise the booking receipt today, I guess. I mean if they say yes, today, which particular model / colour / spec / price also they cannot confirm. Neither can you. I’m suppose when the details are final (when the launch or announce or whatever) you can surely update a firm spec for your order.

In the meantime if you don’t want to buy the new model then surely you can cancel your order for the ketam and get back your money. They are just taking your order for granted that you do want the new one. Otherwise they also can’t fulfil the existing one….

So can I kepoh and ask are you going ahead? 😅

The test drive car i sat in had dunlops. I was also very disappointed when looking at it but to be honest it may not make that much difference to me until I really drive it to the limits. Or reach cruising speeds (nothing weird observed).

I think I’m a very low bar kind of ah pek in reality. I just need comfort and some power and plenty of safety with as much space as possible.
