Those who booked.... you guys not concerned with first batch issues?

Or you guys really need a car soon so there's no choice?

It don’t concerned me that much despite my luck is consider quite bad especially on buying new appliances 🤣 the reason I book is because I wish to change from my current car since last year and I personally like the new interior design. simple as that.

Worried abit too. waiting to see the first batch ones first haha. Ketam's steering rack sickness was brought over to the new City. Can see some ppl still claiming steering rack issue for new City.

That's why have warranty. In any case, not guaranteed that later models will not have problems. Also, this car has been on the road since June 2021 (US), so I'm sure if there are "launch issues", it would have been detected and corrected since.

can't really compare US and Msia since they are both made in respective CKD plants, and with CKD there's bound to be quality variations with locally sourced parts as well

Usually first Pilot build / first batch engineers will turun padang and fix what can be fixed...so in a sense they built with the knowledge.

Suppliers will send the best screened parts and avoid sending out of spec or near the limit of spec parts. So big boss and leads come, all look great, yield very high.

Its the subsequent batches when champagne corks have been flown, that is when suppliers start to flow in some of their out of spec, or at the limit parts, and then engineers not around, line leaders make split second decisions to use or not use, sometimes trying to maintain production output etc, don't want to line down that is the dangerous one.

And then it takes a few unlucky customers to complain, only then will it flow back to their engineering to investigate and do some corrective action. By then, months have passed, 1000's of finished goods, they will roll the dice and hope no more complaints or just resolve for those who complain.

I won't acknowledge this as my professional comment.

Speaking about the media preview drive at Sepang, Honda Msia prepared a FC Civic and Corolla 1.8G as a comparison, but for some reason left out the Mazda 3 sedan

Wonder why. Pricing?

Dual zone air con is over rated for small cars like civic. Even big suv i tried, no use. Either both too hot or both too cold.
*
depend on quality i guess
i seen some review of new xtrail , the real world temp diff between dual zone can be around 6 degree nod.gif

Why they do so what my perspective is toyota corrolla memang cannot use to compare with new civic as in no matter interior or exterior design or even performance. The only can "fight" is thier chasis TNGA platform, so by same c segment we can see corrolla slightly lose due to he not new anymore, just only simple facelift. Relationship slightly same with sumsung and apple.
Madza 3, ha i guess they not using as competitor was due to Malaysia market demand still goes to Toyata and Honda. U know la, resell value, spare parts cost bla bla

I guess red will be the most hot colour for this gen. It also goes well with the red stitching in the inside. I'm also liking the new Meteoroid Grey Metallic colour. The video first impression reviews really shows off the 2 new colours.

Yes, agreed. The black painted part won’t be as noticeable compared to the other lighter colours - but still people would know it is an RS with the Rims and Ducktail spoiler.

In any case, I hope it would launch in January rather than March laugh.gif

I’ll be surprised if you see the car out before the price and spec sheet….which is what, “Q1”?
