As far as I know, there is no Corolla (altis) CKD - we are only doing the Cross CKD.

The effort to stop / down the previous generation Corolla Altis production in Malaysia is actually significant and honestly to re-start it is quite tedious not to mention costly, even for UMW. So I don't think there is any real intentions from UMW toyota on this.....but I can't claim to represent them in any way, its just my own opinion

i was surfing some youtube videos last night, and I *think* the 7in dashboard display does suffer compared to the 10in:
1. Looks like it got no space to give you turn by turn navigation (maybe its not applicable if you're using Waze / Googlemaps / android auto / apple carplay), but possibly only for the built-in Navi.
2. It looks like won't show you your car relative to your lane, and the car in front. I think this is a great feature to have to know your cruise control and emergency brake is running....

But I'm looking at US spec LE vs touring. Perhaps it will be different in SEA / Malaysia version.

For those buying RS, what will be the price for you that will make you not go ahead?

If RS didn't come with 10.2 inch cluster meter. Then the price diff didn't really worth for RS spec? if lets say V and RS price diff is 15k?

-Normal leather vs Leather Suede
- White headlining vs black headlining
Others on RS:
- Red stitch steering
- Red stitch on gear knob
- Door lining Illumination
- Sport pedal & foot lamp
- Ducktail spoiler
- Black door handle, side mirror and antenna

Basically just paying more for cosmetics (technically the 18 inch rims should have better handling but you lose out on comfort as well)

Guess I will wait until they decide to release the 10.2 inch cluster. Next year possibly gonna have corolla and mazda 3 facelift as well.

But if the V is 145k, and then E also like 130k,
That is the hard part I guess. Not to mention someone with sources say it will be 160k+ for RS

I’m getting old, If Honda says more than 130k than for ANY version of Civic, then I’ll go with a Corolla / Cross haha.

I dare to bet that base price would be 125k+- and max would be 145k+- unless they managed to overcome chip shortages and the rising price of steel.
