No no. The previous ideapad gaming comes with shared cpu & gpu cooling.. but in the video, seems like lenovo has improved the cooling by implementing dedicated fans and better exhaust vents. This will provide better thermal efficiency.

Thank you. I was looking at the reviews about HP Victus.
Very concern with the screen wobbly issues.
Still deciding between both.

If RM3.5k stick with IPG3 with 1650, can get for under RM3k (DM for coupon)

If can stretch to RM4k, get the victus with 3050 GPU during 9.9, add RAM, still under RM4k

Hi, need your opinion here. Planning to buy a gaming laptop. Budget around rm5k. I plan to get laptop with at least RTX 3050 and dual slot for RAM and SSD that I can easily upgrade later on.

I found this two model on shopee that fits my budget. Which one is better? Or is there any better option for budget around RM5k? Plan to buy during 9.9 promo.

hi sifu,

Below is the details:

1. Budget : MYR 3000 (plus minus)
2. Usage : Work (Database, Software Testing, Programming, light gaming)
3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) :
- Lenovo brand
- 14 inch
- AMD Ryzen 5
- RAM 16GB
- SSD 512GB
- Wifi 6 (optional)
- Bluetooth (must have)
- Finger print reader (optional)
- Not require touch screen
- Dedicated graphic card (not sure whether it is possible based on the budget. I would like to play PUBG and CS GO)
- Thin and slim (if possible)

Note:
- Currently I am using ThinkPad E14 i5 (office laptop) and this is my first time I am using it and I am loving it. The keyboard is so nice. I heard that IdeaPad keyboard also good and quite similar with ThinkPad series.
- Now I am looking at :
a. IdeaPad Series
b. ThinkPad E Series
c. ThinkPad L Series

- I tried using promo code IPRICE but it is not valid anymore. Please do advice whether above requirement possible? Or I need to low the spec or increase my budget.

Big thank you.

Hi sifu,

How long is the shipping time from Lenovo?
If need the laptop ASAP recommended to buy retail units?
If so, I narrowed down the options to these 2:
1) Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 2
2) Acer Swift 3 SF 314-43-R5AD

Use case is for parents, just web browsing, simple document editing, media consumption etc. Durability is most preferred aspect, however, I am unable to find an IPS panel available model for the ThinkPad.

Questions: is the TN panel 220 nits that bad? Is the swift 3 durable?

Seriously, don't do it. 220 nits is really shitty. Even in typical office lighting environment, the lines separating each cell in Excel is hardly visible. Get something that has at least 300 nits.

1. That spec looks great. But I prefer 14 inch. Btw why 14 inch is more expensive compared to 15inch eh? (I take a look at the price just now). Hmm I wish ThinkBook have black or dark color. Not a fan of white/grey color.

2. Btw, what about ThinkPad E14 series? Any recommendation? I browse thru this model ThinkPad E14 Gen 3.

3. Any model that have dedicated GC? I take a look at IdeaPad Slim 5i just now but it is Intel and got dedicated GC. This is more better in term of light gaming like CS Go and PUBG?

Sorry for the troublesome.
