so far as i know only one game i have seen use the other 2 cores around 30-40 percent..

that would be lost planet.. the rest nope..

the crytek engine supposedly uses it too...

since i see that,8800gts no much big different ler wif my previous 7800gtx.
play r6 vegas oso lagging..even fps can drop to 15!!

Clock to atleast 3ghz
and u will see a whole lot of difference with the 7800gtx.

What if i'm using C2D 2.0 with 8800GTS?will it be lagging?

i clock my cpu till 3ghz also lag sometimes...
even during install say mininum lol.. that game is cpu hunger..
even using 7600gt n 8600gt still same.. accept 8600gt can enhance more on eye candies..

u need to overclock the GPu to atleast 726
shader around 1620 - 1728
mem around 2000 - 2100

and then u need to oc ure Proc to atleast to 3.2-3.4

Creative Geforce Ti4600, Mobility Radeon 9600, Gaiward golden sample 6600gt and finally 8800gts 320mb.

Before that was all integrated graphics solutions

it's occurs on certain scene only..especially last part when to disable the rocket... not all the times..
i'm running on 1280x1024..
with those setup quite satisfied at the moment.. coz no problem running other games...
not try yet latest fps games.. will compare later...

GeForce 8800GT (G92) Scored 10769 in 3DMark06

More details have popped up and we learned that GeForce 8800 GT (G92) will be clocked at 600MHz core and 1.8GHz memory. However Nvidia might still further increase the core clock depending on how Radeon 2950PRO performs. The reference score provided by Nvidia to the partners is 10.8K in 3DMark06 or to be exact 10769. The launch date is said to be brought forward to October 29th. PCInlife has a photo of the 8800 GT card even and it is a single slot solution as we have been telling you.

Nvidia Plans New GeForce 8800 GTS SKU

It seems that Nvidia is planning another GeForce 8800 GTS SKU with more stream processors. This is to widen the performance gap between the upcoming 8800 GT and 8800 GTS as 8800 GT is coming too close and it might hurt the sales of 8800 GTS. As such, the number of stream processors is increased from 96 to 112 while the rest of the specs like 500/800 core/mem clock, 320-bit memory interface, 640MB GDDR3 memories remain unchanged. There is also an interesting side note that NVIDIA will NOT be doing any formal launch activities, press announcements, website updates, or any other marketing around this new sku. Partners can conduct their own marketing activities around the sku as they see fit.

with same tweak here n there.. surely the new 8800gt can beat current 8800gts..

but again when it comes to real world performance... remains to be seen...

hence the revision of the 8800gts and the 320mb being phased out.

Just received my Molex to 6 pin power connector for my 8800GTS, but card havent reach.. aih..~

hehe..but imo,,graw2 IQ is better than R6 vegas,,
can run smoothly graw2 even my e2140 clock 2.0G with full setting but still can't set the maximum details,medium ony coz not enough memory i think..at least 512mb coz my friend x1900xtx can run it maximum!
but i say u...x1900xtx is better than 8800gts in real gaming even in sinthetic benchmark 8800gts pawn x1900xtx

R6 vegas is the only game consume my 2cores 98%..and 98% ram lol.. maybe 256mb mem on gpu also caused the lag..

other games also consumed 98% on ram.. but cpu usage around 50-70% only.. no problem like CoH..terror strike..CnC3..

U shud try Bioshock. It pushes the X2 all the way to 100% on both cores ALL the time. Scary stuff. My GTX SLi rig was lagging because of that. That's y I upgraded to the Q6600 so I can play Bioshock properly.

as suspected la bro.. not dare to try it yet.. including crysis
no budget to upgrade..
new games' engine all crazy one.. luckily i'm mostly gaming rts.. otherwise need to spend alot..

bioshock can utillise the 4cores?
