Not exactly, that's depending on what you want. If you're ready to pay an extra 100 USD for it's crappy phone-related features then juz go for an iPhone. Oh, did i say crappy? LOL i think i did.

I'm concerned about the screen thing, i have a creative zen vision and its a b*tch having to tilt the damn thing to get a "good angle" to watch videos...

Strange that the PCMAG review mentions nothing about this

The main circuit board is different, just that they use the same binary for the OS and GUI.

I can't answer that. As I'm not the one that develope the iphone or ipod touch.
But looking at the test, it might be different. But it might also because of firmware.

The right term is iPod Touch..... iPhone is another device by Apple which = iPod Touch + Phone

The screen problem for iPod Touch that have been reported on the net might put an hold our upcoming purchase.

I might delay my purchase until Apple resolve the issue or Apple guarantee us with a one-to-one exchange.
