Looks like team Cupertino forgot to install iPod touch's software/OS. This is iPod touch and not iPhone!

I believe that the ipod touch's stock gonna be running real low that's why many retails start the Pre-Order Sales redy, we as reseller already login the order, so the first batch of ipod touch wont be looking good to have many stocks at everybody's hand.

hey guys, I'm in California now and i've jst went to Apple shop yesterday and found out that the Ipod Touch was extraordinary fantastic!!! I've try playing it around and i just love it so much but too bad it only available for sale starting 28th of September. The price written there for 8Gig is USD299 and 16Gig is USD399(approximately RM1052 and RM1404 if convertion rate is 3.52).

I guess i will get either one Iphone or Ipod Touch before I bck to Malaysia and sell out my previous Ipod Video 30G

Low stock means retailers may jack up the price of iPod Touch... economic rules applies

my side of translation: 1. hold ur purchase until stock is stable and 2. hold ur purchase until apple giving out $200 (rm700 @ 3.5) discount...that's a lot mann!!.

Prices won't be jacked up so high and authorised resellers will sell at the SRP/RRP price so don't worry too much lah. Unless the RRP price is ridiculously high (which sometimes do happen).

Stick with indy suppliers!!!

I thought the iPod Touch comes under the iPod family, and going under that, means controlled prices as well, simultaneous (or near simultaneous) availability via Apple approved resellers? This is no longer the case of iPhone, folks.....where it's future is uncertain in Malaysia, this is confirmed coming over to Malaysia, and the way i see it from past history, these items are controlled price-wise.

Im looking forward to see the crowd reaction, once it arrives here. After all, Machines is just Mediaplex next door neighbour.

I agree with String. There won't be price gouging. There never has when it comes to Apple products (even low low availability). Witness the scarcity of 2.2Ghz MacBookPros for example. No price hike there...

Apple Malaysia keeps its resellers on a very tight leash price-wise. Unlike Nokia (E90 price-gouging is a good point of reference).

I've been playing with a friends iPhone and my impression that if this is version 1 of Apple's phone interface (remember version 1 of the iPod interface) then the future looks very bright for this product segment. Now why can't Nokia make a slick interface like this?

iPod Touch WILL be available locally and officially too, not like the iPhone. There is no reason to succumb to "entrepreneurs" making a quick buck out of your exasperation. Dont fall for the price gouging, the pricetags im seeing around the Trade section is laughable....., im laughing AT you, not WITH you, if you fall for these clowns.

Oh man, you guys must have been mistaken, I never said that the PRICE WILL BE AT A HIGHER PRICE, moreover, i sell ipods lower than market SRP. Feel free and check out my pricing then. I dont slaught and do cut throat pricing. Cheers!

Don't think the iPod Touch will be such a hit in our shores, in other words it won't be sold out. Even in the states there's still plenty for everyone, cause there seems to be a problem with the LCD screen plus more and more people are returning it until Apple fix the problem. It's a hardware problem not software so it's gonna be hard. For those who wants to get it, i advise you guys to hold your horses first don't get into the rush.

i thought ipod touch is only available after 28/9/2007? how do they return the product when there is none in the market. or did i miss something. or somebody in US return their test unit to apple?

There's already a few Apple stores in the US already started selling them, please google it up. Cheers.
