Hi all,
I have both LG C8 and Sony A80J. The LG C8 has burn in so bad (CNN bar area) and out of warranty I just live with it. The Sony A80J after 1 year plus use has a burn in line around the CNN bar area too, but requested a warranty and now waiting for screen change.
Moving on I think OLED TV not suitable for me as I watch way too much news program and on TV more than 8 hours a day.
Should go for X85K or X90K? I dont play games currently, so I think X90K better?
I don't know if I should stick to OLED or just go X series. Appreciate good advice here. I watch mainly youtube and netflix only.

And a good TV for your Netflix/movie usage. If that A80J can get a screen change, then use that as your movie TV and a cheap TV like Hisense for your news viewing.

I just like to know if the LCD or LED TVs like X90 or 85 series will not have burn in issues? When I check internet rtings got one model after heavy use got colour uniformity issues. Actually within 2 years some also will have line issues too... Hmm...

As far as I know LCD and LED doesn't have burn in issue. Or at least it will takes a really long time to develop burn in compared to OLED.

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ May 18 2023, 06:03 PM) if you dont need the latest model then get X85K. but take note the replacement for X85K is X80L actually. X85L have FALD now so its kinda one step up, price will be more exp also so far no indication when the rest of the L models will launch. Sony only take preorder for A80L and X80L now, and the prices are not cheap recommend to get plug type, but USB powered should be fine also just dont power it from your TV usb for the corners get those L shape LED strip connectors. look tidier and nicer compared to twisting the strip New model arriving in 2 weeks according to Sony Mid Valley. Btw, X80L is only 60Hz, so not exactly the replacement for X85K.

https://www.lowyat.net/2023/301343/sony-202...-malaysia-june/QUOTE According to Sony Malaysia, all five Bravia XR TV models are slated to be available locally sometime in June. The Bravia XR X95L will retail at RM26,999, while the 55-inch XR-55A80L, 65-inch XR-65A80L and 77-inch XR-77A80L are priced at RM10,699, RM14,599 and RM22,999 respectively. Pricing for the The XR X90L model has yet to be confirmed, however. Sony Malaysia once again only launching the large and exp af size of their miniLED model And the A80L series seems to have gone up in price as well This post has been edited by ZeneticX: May 31 2023, 11:18 PM

Usually those in 65" and below are budget limited. They cant even beat Samsung on pricing, let alone TCL. Samsung QN95C 65" pre-order is below RM10k for EPP. If you wait for clearance model, you can even get them cheaper as long as you have EPP access. Therefore they can only appease the T20 with deep pocket who are looking for perfection, instead of just focusing on brightness.
