Any one having green screen problem after latest update?

A80J updated last night. This morning switch on see green screen. Reboot then ok. Will monitor to see if happen again.

Yup checked with sony service centre.. they tried n replace the main board.. still the same .. their conclusion is display dead.. Quoted price more than RM 2000 for display replacement.

Green screen for HDMI again this morning.

Experimented a bit
Astro connected to hdmi. Astro on green screen, off the normal no input screen. Meaning hdmi input getting green screen android interface no problem.

Go to app/home screen and back to hdmi still green screen.

Try starting a streaming app. No problem
Exit the app and the hdmi back to normal. No need to reboot.

😮 I just only initiated the updates for both my A80 units 😅 so far a few times on off seems ok so far.

if you dont need the latest model then get X85K. but take note the replacement for X85K is X80L actually. X85L have FALD now so its kinda one step up, price will be more exp also

so far no indication when the rest of the L models will launch. Sony only take preorder for A80L and X80L now, and the prices are not cheap

recommend to get plug type, but USB powered should be fine also just dont power it from your TV usb

for the corners get those L shape LED strip connectors. look tidier and nicer compared to twisting the strip

are you using led strip?

the reason its not recommended because the usb port of your tv might not supply enough power. but if it works then ok
